Frequently Asked Questions
It depends upon the depth of the well, if you have leased your property, and if the well is going to be a vertical or directional well. A vertical well cannot be drilled closer than 100 feet from any property not in the drilling unit but may need to be up to 500 feet depending upon the depth of the well. A directional well can conceivably be drilled right next to a property line.

Westmoreland Association FAQs
Covenants # 9 and 10 refer to the "front line" and the "side street line" of a property. These are the actual property boundaries. Most home owners received a copy of a survey along with their deed when they bought their home. If so, the survey will show where the front property line is located (this is the line along the street towards which your house faces). If you have a corner property, the "side street line" is the property line along the side street.

DPD -- FAQ: Permits
It depends on the scope of your project. If you propose to build an attached garage at a property line abutting a side yard, you would need a side-yard easement with your adjacent neighbor agreeing to preserve a 10’ separation from the façade wall of that structure to your neighbor's home. Your project would not be allowed to extend into a required rear yard any closer than 12’ to either the center line of an abutting alley or rear property line.
TVA: Vegetation Maintenance FAQ
You can determine the width of the right-of-way from the easement document that is recorded in the county where your property is located. Most of the easements and rights-of-way for TVA’s transmission lines were acquired in the name of the United States and are entrusted to TVA. Older easements and rights-of-way may have been acquired by TVA’s predecessors and later transferred to the federal government for TVA’s use.

A sewer line is a public utility line. The City of Abuja has a central sewer facility, which should be protected at all times. Structures on Sewer lines are time bombs and any form of development on top of such a facility could be very dangerous and constitute serious hazards to human health. Any property erected on a sewer line or any other utility line (such as water and under power lines) cannot be allowed to remain in place.

If your street is 50 feet wide (for example) go to the center point of the street and measure 25 feet from the center point into your front property. This is where your front property line starts. Most township right-of-ways are 50 feet wide. Mahoning County and State right-of-ways are usually wider than township right-of-ways.

If the deck is 30 inches or more above the ground, it must be at least the distance from the property line same as required for the house. Please check with the Development Services Division at (503) 526-2420 to determine the land-use zone your property is located in and what the setbacks are. If the deck has a cover over it, regardless of its height, it must be at least the distance from the property line same as required for the house.
Water Frequent Questions
Well Construction Standards [WAC 173-160] do not specifically state property line restrictions, but states that wells must be located a minimum of one-hundred (100) feet from sources of know or potential contamination sources. Prior to constructing a well near a property line, consider the protection of the 100-foot radius sanitary zone. If the property line is adjacent to a state, county or private road, there are also road and utility easements that must be maintained.
We recommend that you call your local planning and zoning department and ask them what the rules are in your area. Our experience is that you need to have a few feet left over, after the carport is built, all city's are a little different.

When a series of parts are connected into various configurations, the resultant system no longer solely exhibits the collective properties of the parts themselves. Instead any additional behaviour attributed to the system is an example of an emergent system property. A configuration can be physical, logical or statistical, all can show unexpected features that cannot be reduced to an additive property of the individual parts.
