Using fcntl(), lock the line or record in the file exclusively. Now, using another thread, read the file, at each byte, trying to write that byte back. Whenever you succeed, write that byte into another file. Then copy the new file over the old file, releasing the lock first.

ls : This command stands for List. If you type ls and press enter, a list of files in the currend directory will be displayed. Useful options include ls -C which will show the list in a column format, and ls -l which will show the list is a long format with more information. You may also combine these with the option -a to show "All" files, including those that begin with a . and are thus called "hidden" since they do not display without the -a option, e.g. ls -al.

The current, standardized version of SPARQL deals only with retrieving selected data from RDF graphs. There is no equivalent of the SQL INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE statements. To delete more than one record at a time, you must use the dialog "Delete Records by Range of Dates". Tap on "Tools-> the Delete by Range of Dates..." menu item. The dialog will be displayed. For phase 3 entries, the DEFINITION line should contain the scientific name of the organism and the clone name and if available, the chromosome or map location. A DB2 utility used to collect statistics about the data values in tables which can be used by the optimizer to decide the access path. It also collects statistics used for space management. These statistics are stored in DB2 catalog tables.

The file can only be deleted by the account holder and sendspace. After you have uploaded a file you will be given a special link to delete the file. If you selected an email confirmation the delete link will be included in that email. If someone uploads using a DropBox, they are not given links or sent an email. Only the DropBox account holder can delete the file. Registered users can edit details and delete files in their 'mySendspace' page.
