All known oil tanks and systems are compatible with Bioheat® fuel at blends of 20% or less. For higher biodiesel blends, up to and including 100% biodiesel, compatibility will depend on the materials (metals, plastics, and rubber parts) in your tanks, pumps and fuel lines. For blends higher than 20% biodiesel only steel, mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, fluorinated polyethylene fluorinated polypropylene and fiberglass vessels are recommended.

A.If riding your own bike it must be full of fuel on arrival so we can get an early start on day one. We use unleaded on tour and fill from our support vehicle. Two stroke riders will need to supply own oil, which will be carried on the support vehicle. You should also carry a 500ml spare in your pack just in case.

this time the emergence of Bioheat® fuel is much too new for burner manufacturers to comment on. However, in work accomplished throughout the northeast, organizations like Carlin, Beckett and Power Flame (notable burner manufactures) all are reviewing Bioheat® fuel. Bioheat® fuel appears to have little or no negative impact on a burner’s performance while providing emissions, sulfur, lubricity, global warming and health benefits.

Yes. The biodiesel in Bioheat® fuel goes completely into solution with heating oil and once it is blended it does not come out of solution and will not separate. Bioheat® fuel contains biodiesel. Biodiesel provides a cleaning effect and does have a tendency to dissolve or loosen some sediment that can be deposited in tanks and fuel systems from years of conventional diesel fuel or home heating oil use. This cleaning effect is dependent upon the blend concentration of biodiesel.

There is no difference between fuel (heating) oil and off road diesel. However, road diesel has lower sulfur and is clear. Heating Oil and off road are dyed.

Residuumsol: Fuel Oil Additive is a liquid blend of organic chemicals in a petroleum base. The ingredients of Residuumsol: Fuel Oil Additive include detergents, combustion catalyst, chemicals that reduce the surface tension of the fuel oil, oxidation inhibitor and deposit modifiers. Residuumsol: Fuel Oil Additive is easily miscible and fully compatible with all varieties of fuel oil.

For our Zenoah-powered boats, we recommend a 20:1 or 25:1 mixture of a quality 2 cycle synthetic oil. Zenoah recommends 90 or higher octane unleaded fuel (although we have quite a few customers who have had success with 87-89 octane). We recommend a mixture of 25:1 (5 oz of oil to 1 gal of gas) or 20:1 (6 oz of oil). Either will work for you, but you should pick one mixture and not change. The oil needs to be a good 2 stroke synthetic. We recommend AMSOIL.

Arrangements to pay for fuel and oil costs by credit card or cash must be made before the scheduled use. The amount of fuel used is determined by immediate refueling by the boat captain upon return.

If the rig does not require a license under the vehicle statutes, dyed diesel fuel may be used. If the rig requires a license, a refund of the tax may be obtained only with adequate records to substantiate the claim.

Leakage of fuel or oil through the fuel pump overboard drian line indicates a worn or ruptured diaphragm inside the fuel pump. The fuel pump should be replaced before further flight.

Oil must be pre-mixed with the fuel. We recommend CastrolTM TTS two-stroke oil (available worldwide). The engine's Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is programmed for Europe and North America to accommodate slightly different octane ratings. We recommend using the highest octane alcohol-free unleaded auto-fuel that is available. This is generally 98 RON (Research Octane Number) in Europe and 93 PON (Pump Octane Number) in North America (except California which is 92).

It is advised that Residuumsol: Fuel Oil Additive be added to the main storage tank just before fresh fuel is transferred to it because the agitation caused by the transfer of the fuel to the tank is enough for the additive to get homogenously mixed in the fuel oil.

This depends on the amount of fuel being transported. To transport a road legal container with a capacity under 1000 litres, a general understanding of the ADR 'Carriage of Dangerous Goods' regulations is required. The driver should be aware of equipment and vehicle marking requirements and also be aware of emergency procedures to follow in the event of an accident.

No municipal permits are required to remove your buried oil tank. However, installation of a new tank will require a permit. Whether placed inside or outside, the tank installation will require a permit from the Building Department.

Modern engine oils and fuels are carefully formulated to offer the best possible performance over a wide range of operating condition. There are occasions where an additive not contained in the oil or fuel will improve performance in one respect or another. However, there are also additives that will cause harm to the system. If aftermarket additives are used they should be thoroughly tested and offer more proof of performance than simple testimonial letters or anecdotal evidence.

Oil heat has been consistently less expensive than natural gas and this has been the case for 10 of the past 12 years. Natural gas has been up to 30% more expensive. The risk of an explosion from a gas leak is well known and a check of newspaper headlines over the last few years documents the risk associated with gas heat. Oil heat is much more stable, and lacks the explosiveness of natural gas.

A : The fuel oil supplier inspects the entire fuel oil installation including each appliance (furnace, boiler water heater) that is using fuel oil, the venting system, tank and piping from the tank. This inspection is for the safe use of the appliance at the time of the inspection and does not cover performance.

A : Depending on the danger from the unsafe installation, a fuel supplier can specify a time period up to 90 days for corrective action or the delivery of fuel oil will cease. If the unsafe installation is very dangerous, then the distributor must immediately stop the supply of fuel oil to the installation.
