Non-Australian citizens transiting Australia to another country or passing through Australia to join a ship as crew must obtain a visa overseas before travelling to Australia. A transit visa is required even if a traveller remains on the same aircraft in the same airport. The relevant visa is Transit visa (subclass 771), which is free of charge and allows the holder to enter and remain in Australia for up to 72 hours.

For transit visa (G), applicant should provide a valid visa to or from the destination or visiting country. Sometimes, an air ticket or its copy is also required.

No, Rural Transit is a public transportation service open to anyone. We do ask that small children are accompanied by adults. The cost is $1.50 per one way trip.

If you intend to simply transit through France en route to a third country, you must apply for an airport transit visa and present the evidence of an onward travel (air ticket) and a valid entry authorization (visa) for your desired final destination. The airport transit visa permits entry into the airport area only. However, Indian passport holders having a confirmed air ticket going to the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Switzerland (excluding Geneva) transiting France do not require this visa.

Most African countries require that you are in possession of a valid passport with an expiration date no less than six months after your return to the United States. US citizens require entry visas for Kenya (purchase before travel US $50 per person), Tanzania (purchase before travel US $50 per person), Zambia (purchase at border US $25 per person), and Zimbabwe (purchase at border US $30 per person). Entry visas are not required for Botswana, Malawi, Namibia, or South Africa.

International visitors require a valid passport together with onward travel documents. All passport holders should verify with their relevant consulate concerning visa entry requirements. If you are extending your journey to other countries, please establish entry requirements for those countries as well. There is a visa fee for guests visiting Zambia.

From 26 October 2004 all UK passport holders travelling to the US, including children, must have their own individual machine-readable passport, otherwise a US visa must be obtained.
