Since an HDMI cable combines video and audio signals, we strongly feel that it offers a connection of inferior quality. Furthermore, DVI to HDMI adapters are readily available.

There are two reasons. First, a 720p output signal contains much more data than a 480p signal, resulting in a greater potential for signal degradation and loss. Secondly, all video monitors using DLP, D-ILA, LCD and LCoS technology employ built-in "480p to 720p" scaler circuits. While 720p is higher resolution than 480p, the upconversion process should be done in the display device or by a professional-grade outboard scaler rather than inside the source component.

A brief history on the MOON product line best explains this:   Originally (1996), MOON products were built with a gold-colored oval name-plate inscribed with the "Celeste" name. However, the "Celeste" name was eventually replaced (1997) with "Sim Audio".   In both cases, the faceplates were a pewter color with a "blueish" tint.   As well, the 4 legs were black and their matching pointed cone feet were gold-colored.

LDD-10 has a 1 meter cable as an output, which terminates with RS-19 connector, which fits the ATC cooling heads. We will provide you with contacts map of the connector, if necessary. Besides, we may complete your order of the driver with the complementary part of the connector for free.

Some players have a Digital Ouput connector (newer versions of CDI 220, CDI 740, CDI 615, CDI 660 and CDI 670). This connection provides a standard S/PDIF (Sony/Philips Digital Interface Format) signal. It can be used to connect a CD-i player to a digital recording device like a MiniDisc-recorder or an Audio CD-Recorder.

The new DVDs will be compatible with the vast majority of existing consumer electronics DVD players worldwide. This process requires discussion and testing in addition to the development of a new video specification from the DVD Forum. For example, a study had to be undertaken to confirm the compatibility with existing DVD players. It also takes time to complete physical disc specifications for the new recordable DVD media.

Not at all. If you are familiar with working on PC-type equipment, the HDMI card can be easily removed and sent to IESS for repair. With removing the HDMI card, you would save money on the repair since we won't need to process and test the entire receiver. The cost for this repair is just $79.

All five seasons of anime were released on DVD (remastered) in Japan, so if you have a region 2 DVD player (and can speak Japanese), you can find them on Amazon Japan or Yahoo!Japan Auctions. Note: These DVDs will not play on region 1 (North American) DVD players!!

Put simply, HDMI is a new connection type that carries both digital audio and digital video (at resolutions up to 1080p) in a single cable. It can be found on HDTV's, some high-definition cable and satellite boxes, upscaling DVD players, the new HD disc formats HD-DVD and Blu-ray, and it is slowly making its way to surround sound receivers and processors. If you are buying a new HDTV, you should make sure the set includes an HDMI input.

Not for a long time. There are simply too many videocassettes in the world for VCRs to become obsolete. Keep in mind, DVD recorders are not currently available, so VCRs will continue to fill that need well into the future. Remember when CD technology first became widely available?
