The smell of acetone has been noted coming from a semi truck fuel tank that has had acetone added in small amounts. The following opinion is submitted as a response to this observation. Enough fresh air mixes with the fumes, and enough breeze wafts the fumes away that the vapor inhalation would not be of a level that would be of concern.

Diesel fuel weighs about 7.4 pounds per US gallon, so 11 US gallons of diesel will weigh about 82 pounds plus the 32 pounds for the tank and diamond plate.

You may need to add fuel first to get a measurement of gallons added to know how much acetone to add. If you are good at reading your gas gauge, to know about how many gallons will be required to fill the tank, then you can. Once you know your gauge:gallon relationship, you can add a fixed amount before the "full" point is reached, so that you can add the acetone first..

Very well. Acetone has a 100% solubility rate, even in water, so the mixture formed with gasoline is complete. (This comment is being investigated) "If there is water (even small amounts from condensation) in the fuel and the engine is fuel injected, especially diesel engines, the acetone will form an emulsion with the water and corrode injector pump and damage injector tips, according to GM and various fuel injector manufacturers. Check with your vehicle manufacturer before using."

This may depend on how much water is actually in your fuel tank. Very small amounts could probably be managed with "fuel-dryer" additives, which combine with the water in your fuel and simply run it through the engine. If the water problem is serious, you should have a competent mechanic resolve the problem. This may include removal of the fuel, fuel storage tank from the vehicle, cleaning it, replacing the fuel filters, re-installing the tank, and filling with fresh, clean fuel.

Water can get into your vehicle's fuel tank by a number of different ways including from fuel that you have purchased, natural condensation on the inside of your fuel tank, a loose fill cap on your tank, someone's mischief, and others.

All known oil tanks and systems are compatible with Bioheat® fuel at blends of 20% or less. For higher biodiesel blends, up to and including 100% biodiesel, compatibility will depend on the materials (metals, plastics, and rubber parts) in your tanks, pumps and fuel lines. For blends higher than 20% biodiesel only steel, mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, fluorinated polyethylene fluorinated polypropylene and fiberglass vessels are recommended.

It probably doesn't matter. Proponents of bottom mounted tanks talk about the risk of fuel leaking on a hot motor and starting an inflight fire. However, fuel simply dripping onto a hot engine is unlikely to ignite; a spark or other source of ignition is required. Top mounted tanks are required for machines using float carburetors unless an external fuel pump is used. The more common diaphragm carburetors have a built in fuel pump.

The engine will not start without fuel. First check the fuel tank. Of course, be sure to use glow fuel made exclusively for R/C engines. If you are not sure of the type, ask your dealer for fuel for gas powered R/C cars. Be sure to securely attach the fuel tube to the fuel inlet nipple and to the fuel tank. Of course, if a filter is installed, it is necessary to check before and after the filter. You should also check that the flow of fuel is not blocked by twisting of the tube.

If the fuel tank resonates with the vibrations and the fuel foams abnormally, the engine may stop on rare occasions. This is caused by a large amount of air being mixed in the fuel transfer tube. The fuel tank should be securely attached. Once started, let the engine run until the rpm stabilizes without turning off the plug heat. When first starting a cold engine, the engine sometimes suddenly stops as soon as the electricity is turned off.

Your Tour Buddy auxiliary truck tank is factory made from durable 3/16" high density polyethylene and each unit is covered by durable polished 1/8' aluminum diamond plate. Each tank is pressure tested before being assembled and shipped to you.

A little bit of physics goes a long way here. The Tour Buddy tanks are controlled by limiting the vent that allows air into the tank when fuel is drained out. This is accomplished by installing two fittings in the trucks main fuel tank at 3/4" to 1 ? " below the top on the side of the tank on plastic tank models or a special fill pipe adaptor with the two fittings if you have a steel tank.

Obviously the price of fuel will depend on the model of car, pick up location, and the price of fuel at the time. The price varies from 35€ Euros for small cars and up to 85€ for the larger ones.

This depends on what you are doing with the vehicle. You can expect a 75cc tank to last 10-15 minute.

The instructions call for 1-2 oz for every 10 gallons (30-60 mL for every 40L) E.g. a 100 gallon tank would need 10 – 20 oz. More is better, and for the initial treatment use a minimum of 3-4 oz per 10 gallons.

There is no requirement for a certain fuel level in residential tanks. Larger commercial size tanks will require a certain fuel level.
