You can use either Netscape Communicator 7 or higher or Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or higher. Mac computer users can also use the Safari Web browser. Do not use the AOL Web browser or any other type of proprietary Web browser.

Netscape 3.0 or higher or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. Internet Explorer works better with Microsoft Office documents that may be included in your course. The Virtual Classroom does not work on the Macintosh. Blackboard is not designed to work with the AOL browser or the Opera browser. If you use AOL, you can still dial-up using your AOL account, but you are encouraged to download and install either the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser or the Netscape Communicator browser.

Faculty and registered students must access Blackboard using the portal (Question #1). Guests and students who are not matriculated can access the Blackboard Learning system directly after obtaining the username and password from the instructor. The Web address to the home page for Blackboard is http://fullerton.blackboard.com. If you are having problems accessing Blackboard, you will need to contact the help desk at (714) 278 - 7777.

The OneHealthPort service will work with Internet Explorer 5.01 and Netscape Navigator 4.75. Other Web browsers may not be compatible or may not be supported at all. WebTV does not work with OneHealthPort. If you are having problems, it is also good to make sure your Internet service provider is not down.

Blackboard works best with Microsoft Internet Explorer v5.0 or higher and Netscape Navigator v4.7 or 7.0 or higher. Mac users should use the Safari web browser.

There are known compatibility issues with the AOL browser and several of our VCCS applications. If your ISP is AOL, connect as usual, then minimize (do not close) the AOL browser and start up Internet Explorer. Do all your VCCS work from the IE browser.

All other 128-bit encryption browsers not in the supported or blocked groups above may be used to access myPay. However, no support will be provided by myPay if there are problems with the browser interacting with myPay. NOTE: If you are using special interpretive software, such as a screen reader, in addition to your browser, you should set the special software to read forms ("forms mode").

AOL is capable of running third-party applications, like the Netscape® browser, over the AOL connection. To do this, find the Netscape for AOL browser, by entering AOL Keyword: Netscape. Microsoft® Internet Explorer is included with the AOL software.

Students need to login to the student portal at http://my.fullerton.edu and click the Blackboard tab. Then, they will see the courses they are enrolled.

In principle, given that Philica is entirely web-based with all the clever stuff taking place on our servers rather than your computer, it should run on almost any computer and browser combination. We regularly test Philica using different systems to ensure compatibility. At the time of writing, we have tested it with both Macs and PCs running Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer and Safari.

Netscape Navigator is automatically configured to use SpeedRa Web Booster. Use Netscape as you normally would. For other browsers such as Opera and Mozilla, SpeedRa Web Booster works with any web browser that allows you to specify an HTTP proxy. You must set the HTTP proxy host to be "127.0.0.1" and the port number to be the local listening port of the SpeedRa Client (5400 by default). Consult your browser's documentation for information on how this can be done.
