Varilux lenses are available in a variety of different materials that will reduce both thickness and weight. Smaller frames also reduce lens thickness and weight. Your eyeglass prescription contains information regarding the lens power required to correct your vision problems. It consists of spherical power, cylindrical power, cylinder axis, bifocal addition, and prism power. Your prescription will contain only those numbers that are pertinent for your vision correction, for example if you do not have astigmatism, you would not have a cylindrical power and axis information in your prescription. Most prescriptions do not contain prism power.

You will then be given the option at the bottom of the online order form to indicate that you are posting, faxing, or scanning & e.mailing a copy of your prescription to us. If you are scanning and e.mailing it to us then e.mail it to clearly stating your name and order number in the subject bar; Once we have received your prescription, we may still need you to clarify the details on it with your optician.

First of all, consider taking one of the University Learning Center's (ULC) FREE workshops on "Reading Textbooks" and/or see the hints on the NATS 101-GC webpage under "Class Support Links." Using some of these tips, do the best you can to get the main points out of the reading assignment, then go to the corresponding Self Check and see if you can answer the questions.
