Dead animals should be removed from the road in order to prevent them from attracting scavengers, who may also be killed by vehicles. Many communities have carcass removal services. Look in the Yellow Pages under “Animal Carcass Removal.” You may also call your local humane society’s animal control officers to pick up the body.
