You will sometimes see an error message something like this: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate xx bytes) in /var/www/moodle/yyyy.php This error means that the php memory_limit value is not enough for the php script. The memory_limit value is the "allowed memory size" - 64M in the example above (67108864 bytes / 1024 = 65536 KB. 65536 KB / 1024 = 64 MB). You will need to increase the php memory_limit value until this message is not shown anymore.

You are exhausting the available memory that PHP has access to. In php.ini there is a config variable named memory_limit that by default is set to 8MB. Edit php.ini and increase it to a larger value (restart Apache afterwards). If you don't have access to php.ini, you can add this line to your .htaccess file in your gallery2 folder. Usually, unless you are the owner of the server, you don't have access to change php.ini. If there is no .

You probably have run out of virtual memory on your system, or your kernel has a low limit for certain resources. Try this before starting postmaster: ulimit -d 262144 limit datasize 256m Depending on your shell, only one of these may succeed, but it will set your process data segment limit much higher and perhaps allow the query to complete. This command applies to the current process, and all subprocesses created after the command is run.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
If you get a fatal error when trying to use PEL, then your installation of PHP might be too old. PEL requires PHP version 5. Please see the question "Why does PEL require PHP version 5?" for more information. PEL uses objects to represent the entire structure of a JPEG image, and many of the methods defined on those objects return other objects. In particular, the method PelJpeg::getExif() returns a PelExif object and PelIfd::getEntry() returns a PelEntry object.
DevKit Advance FAQ
Hopefully, this bug has been fixed in the latest version. I changed the memory manager that gcc uses in order to work around a bug in one of the POSIX functions in Cygwin (mmap). Compilation might be slower on machines with lower memory because it now uses a less efficient scheme which may take more memory. This might introduce new bugs, but I have not seen anything yet.

It plug in like the Parallel Port. The other approach is Megabyte Computers in Texas will now upgrade the Portfolio to 512k of memory internally. The modification includes a six month warranty for the work. The cost is 299 dollars. For more information call, (817) 589-2950.

There is no knowledge of anyone dying because of CFS (certainly, we have heard of a few suicides, but then one must ask: Were there pre-existing psychological problems before getting CFS and/or was the patient diagnosed properly?).
If you get an out-of-memory error (or would like to increase the amount of memory that the server can use), add the "-mx128m" argument when running java/jre. In fact, we recommend increasing the amount of memory available to Java to allow Java and the server to use up to 128 megabytes of virtual memory, if necessary. Alternatively, the config.dct file can be edited to cut down on the amount of memory used by changing the number of threads allocated for each listener.
