The bond line thickness is customizable to the needs of the customer, including any sizes and finishes involved. Successful application may be achieved at as low as half a mil. Simply a bare die is preferable for our system, since the LMA can wet the silicon directly. Also, no special polishing is required. The more flat and polished the surfaces are, however, the thinner the BLT can be made.

Once the 10+” of wool layers are stuffed into the cotton cover, the final thickness of the Cuddle Ewe Underquilt is approximately 3”. With use, the Cuddle Ewe Underquilt will compress to a thickness of about 1.5” to 2”. This is very normal and to be expected. Once the wool has compressed, there is nothing that can be done to re-fluff it, but it will still be comfortable. With proper care, you can maintain the Cuddle Ewe’s loftiness for a long time.

StockerYale's low power laser line projectors have a pseudo-Gaussian widthwise intensity profile analogous to that of many gas lasers. The thickness (or width) of the line is measured at the 1/e^2 points of this profile. A chart of LINE THICKNESS VS PROJECTION DISTANCE can be found in many of our Laser data sheets and brochures. BLT (http://www.tcltk.com/blt/) is an extension to the Tk toolkit, adding new widgets (like a 2D graph widget), another geometry manager (now subsumed by Tk's grid), and others commands. It does not require any patching of the Tcl or Tk source files. It runs on Windows as well (since v2.4).

The white residue is cured volatized cyanoacrylate that settles back down on the part. This is especially true when using standard Ethyl cyanoacrylates. CA PLUS offers 2 families of cyanoacrylates that will reduce or eliminate this problem: Low Odor/Low Bloom and No Odor/No Bloom cyanoacrylates. This whitening has no effect on the bond strength and using an acetone or CA PLUS Debonder wipe will get rid of the residue.
