We would be happy to evaluate any classes you have taken at other institutions for their compatibility with Carroll's curriculum. In order to have your classes evaluated you will need to contact your previous schools and have transcripts sent to Carroll.

We feel that students who have completed at least two years of undergraduate education will be better prepared to fully take advantage of the opportunities in this program. We also understand that there may be exceptionally talented and qualified first year students, but this would be an exception rather than the rule. If you have questions, please contact us.

I have completed two semesters. Shouldn’t I be a sophomore if it is my second year? Registration

Students need to arrive at academic advising sessions well prepared. This means they need to have their advising folder, a copy of their curriculum sheets, a list of questions they have for their advisor, and a list of courses they would like to take. During this session, the advisors and students discuss which classes they should register for in the upcoming semester. The courses will be written down on a form that both the advisor and student sign.

The goal of a Bioenergetic practitioner is to help you bring your body into balance. It is documented that stress can lead to blocked energy which can lead to all types of diseases in the body. Although we don't treat symptoms or cure any disease, you will find that as your energy begins to flow more freely and your body systems become balanced, your symptoms will clear.

Bring your advising file; a current copy of your unofficial transcript that you've printed out from Peoplesoft; and an updated Advising Application to Graduate sheet. The Advising Application to Graduate sheet contains all the Psychology courses you've taken for the major, plus Statistics.

SPEA does not require a foreign language for either the BSPA or BSPH degrees. For BSES students, eight hours of a foreign language is required for degree completion.

Answer: The Stony Brook ATP is structured so that the application process is completed during the spring semester of sophomore year, however a junior or senior-level student may apply when the required prerequisite coursework is completed.

All academic scholarship recipients are expected to maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA to renew their scholarship each year. Leadership scholarship recipients must maintain a 2.5 GPA. Music scholarship recipients must achieve a 2.5 overall GPA and a 3.0 in their applied music field.

Prior to the appointment, students should review the materials they received in previous sessions. They should be aware of outstanding requirements and, if possible, identify possible course selection options for the upcoming semester. In addition, they should prepare a list of questions to be discussed at the session. Students should bring their Professional Studies materials with them to each advising meeting.

Though we strongly encourage parents to discuss course selection with their students, parents are unable to attend their student's academic advising session during Case Orientation. Students are able to make changes to their schedule during Welcome Days on Saturday, August 25, when Drop/Add begins.

Acupuncture sessions begin with a comprehensive interview and physical examination. During the first visit your practitioner will ask you about your medical history as well as your current health condition. The interview process is shorter during follow up visits and focuses on changes since the previous treatment, as well as feedback about the treatment. The physical exam consists of three main parts. The practitioner will feel your pulse, look at your tongue, and palpate your abdomen.

You may interact with one photographer only or several different photographers for different portrait styles.   Prestige Portraits will take your official yearbook portrait along with other poses you select.  Please ask questions and express what you want.  Expect some poses to feel a little awkward, but trust your photographer to know what looks best in a finished portrait.
