No. While most of the people who apply to our program are actively enrolled in college, graduate school, or law school, you do not have to be a student to be considered for an internship at NOW. Several of our past interns have simply used the experience to improve their knowledge of women's issues or their grassroots organizing skills. Others have used the experience to see if they would be interested in pursuing a career in feminist activism or the non-profit sector.

This fee includes the background check we are required to receive on anyone over 18. The application process involves completing the same information as the student application and three questionnaires:

You must first complete a FAFSA application and we must have received your FAFSA information electronically. The next step is to obtain a loan application from the Financial Aid Office. Applicants may choose any lender, however, we do have a lender list you can choose from. Loans are not automatically renewed each academic year (Summer, Fall, Spring), you must apply every Fall.

If you have student loans that do not come due until after you finish your education, and are thinking of going right from college into the seminary, you can be assured that as a diocesan priest in most dioceses, including the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, your salary will be such that you can pay off reasonable debts within five to ten years after ordination.

Students should begin the process 12 to 24 months prior to beginning classes. The academic year usually begins in August/September, with many schools, however, offering beginning sessions in January. Students must first make a selection of schools to which they wish to apply. AUAP will provide a list of the five schools best suited to a particular student. Students must also take the various tests required for admission into the schools prior to submitting applications.

Our student-to-faculty ratio is 18 to 1. FLCC prides itself in providing students with personal attention. Our average class size is 18 students. We are a mid-sized SUNY community college (5,150 students in the fall 2006 semester).

The library will hire one work study per semester per campus. Speak with a financial aid person on either campus at the beginning of each semester if you are interested in being a work study.

If you are currently in your last semester/quarter of college, you may submit an application for most entry-level professional jobs requiring only a college degree. You will be allowed to take the examination, and be placed on the register, but you cannot be appointed until you have actually obtained your degree.

When you apply, you will be asked to specify two colleges by whom you would like to considered for membership. If you leave this area of the application form blank, the Board of Graduate Studies will try and find a suitable college for you. More information about obtaining a college place can be found in the online prospectus.

No - the Board of Graduate Studies does this for you if you are offered a University place. It is University policy that no student who has met all the other conditions of their offer will be prevented from taking up their place purely through want of a college. But you should research the colleges to find which might be appropriate for your needs as a graduate student, and nominate at least two at which you would like to be considered if you receive the offer of an academic place.

Vesalius College offers a minimal service for students with Special Needs such as Dyslexia and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, for which students are required to provide medical documents relating to their Disability. Vesalius College does not currently have the facility to operate its own internal disability testing service, nor does it currently have any disabled facilities available to help physically handicapped students, such as ramps or hand rails or disabled toilets.

Carroll Community College offers students many opportunities for participation in clubs and activities and service on committees and boards. See the 2007-2008 catalog, page 124-125. Carroll has soccer and rugby football clubs. Vertigo: Skate, Trek and Snow club offers opportunities for adventure. Check in the Student Life Office, A-118, for details. The Fitness Center offers cardiovascular and weight-training equipment. 

Student Email is a Web-Based e-mail client, that provides you with access to your Palomar email using Internet Explorer (Netscape is not supported). This allows access to your email from any location, any time. Authentication to your e-mail is possible via your Palomar College Student userid and password.

Yes. Your application to the visiting student program will be evaluated based on your high school record. Please remember that as a visiting student you will not be working toward a degree at Johns Hopkins, although you may transfer the credits you earn to another institution.
