You certainly can. ADSL uses a high frequency signal to communicate, high enough that it can be easily differentiated from a normal conversation. Once you attach the filter to your phone it blocks out the high frequency (ADSL) signals so you can talk to your mate no worries while the internet is connected.

You can plug your computer into the back of your phone so they may both share the same network jack. Your computer will be able to access the Internet as usual.

You'd need to configure your router to port forward "TCP port 80" to the IP address currently being used by Phone Adapter. If you do this often, we suggest that you use static IP address for the Phone Adapter, Instead of DHC.
