If the distance between USB slots of your PC/notebook is too far for USB Y-cable to connect, you can only connect prime head of USB Y-cable, as indicated below, to one USB slot of your PC/notebook; and then connect the other USB slot of your PC/notebook with DC-inlet cable's USB head to supply power. Therefore, the power supply head of USB Y-cable is useless.

It is possible to damage equipments when playing with PC vidoe hardware and workstation monitorts.
