The African Pygmy (Myosciurus, pumilio) is the smallest squirrel in the world. Its head and body length is only two and half inches long. With a tail approximately the same length. They are found, in Southeastern Nigeria, Cameroon, and Gabon.

The largest squirrel is the Ratufa (ratufa indica) sometimes known as the Indian giant squirrel, it can grow to three feet in length. This species is found in southeast Asia, and parts of Nepal.

The smallest-known dinosaur is the meat-eater Compsognathus (For more information on Compsognathus, click here.) The earliest-known dinosaur is Eoraptor (For more information on Eoraptor, click here.) Lots of dinosaurs have been found in Canada. Most were found in Alberta, but some have been found in Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, and British Columbia. I haven't heard of any dinosaurs found in Ontario. In the “Z” (depth) direction, AMI is sensitive to separations as small as 200 Angstroms. In the X-Y directions, the resolution is based on the ultrasonic frequency and the design of the transducer. Typically the resolution is about 250 microns for 10 MHz, 75 microns for 30 MHz, 25 microns for 100 MHz and 10 microns for 230 MHz. However, a transducer can actually detect defects smaller than its resolution by an order of magnitude.

Squirrels, like all rodents, have very small droppings. They are about the size of a raisin, and light brown in color. Since the squirrel is outdoors, and always moving, they can be difficult to find.

If you find a baby squirrel that has fallen out of its nest and does NOT appear to be injured, you can either find the nest and put it back or leave the baby at the base of the tree. Unlike birds, squirrels and other mammals can pick up and carry their babies back to the nest. Keep away from the area to allow the mother to come down. She will not come down if there are pets and people around.

Answer: No. Women who routinely do breast self-examination can pick up a mass when it is about one-half inch is size. Mammography can pick a malignancy about three years sooner than it can be felt. However, mammography is not 100% accurate. It is only 85% accurate and breast self-examination is an important part of early breast cancer detection.

In the UK dragonflies reach a length of about 85 mm and a wingspan of about 120 mm. This is the size for the larger "Hawker" dragonflies such as the Emperor and Brown Hawker. Damselflies, which are the much smaller and weaker flying relatives of dragonflies, are much smaller. The largest in the UK are the Demoiselles. These have a body length of about 50 mm and a wingspan of about 60 mm.
