You may file your claim at any Georgia Department of Labor Career Center. To find the office nearest to you, go to Find Us, then select Career Centers.

You are required to report any gross wages earned from employment, beginning on Sunday through Saturday of the week being claimed. The most common mistake made is erroneously reporting money when it's paid, and not when earned. The department provides a worksheet, which will assist you in proper reporting. If you have any questions regarding proper reporting of gross wages, contact the Claims Center for further instructions.

If you do not live in Nevada, you must contact the Employment Service agency in your state for filing instructions. If you live in Southern Nevada, all claims are now processed by telephone through our new QuickClaim center at (702) 486-0350. If you live in Northern Nevada, all claims are now processed by telephone through our new QuickClaim center at (775) 684-0350. When you call to file an unemployment insurance claim you will need to provide your social security number and the full name, address and telephone number of all employers you have worked for in the last two years. If you are not a United States citizen, you must provide your alien registration number.

You can file a claim by calling 1-888-313-7284, or over the Internet at http://www.pa.gov (click on "Online Services" at the top of the screen and select "Unemployment Compensation" from the list). If you do not have access to a telephone or the Internet, PA CareerLink Carbon County has a telephone you can use that offers a direct line to the Unemployment Compensation Call Center for filing your claim. Or, if you prefer, use our computers to file your claim over the internet.

A weekly claim to receive a check is also known as a continued claim. Filing continued claims can only occur after you have filed an initial claim. If you are currently in the adjudication process or were denied benefits are and in appeals, no checks are issued until which point you are found to meet all eligibility requirements of the law. You must call the claim center and have staff assist you.

If you are determined to be the most recent employer, as defined by law, you will be mailed a questionnaire as soon as the claim is filed. The questionnaire will have specific questions to be answered regarding the reason for separation. You will be advised when the written information must be submitted, and you may be contacted by telephone if additional facts are required.

Names, addresses, job-site locations and telephone numbers of any employers for whom you worked during the last 18 months. You should file your weekly claims by phoning the Interactive Voice Response System, Easy Call. For Easy Call information and phone numbers, click here (PDF).

Once you have started your claim, you must certify each week using the UI ICE system or by calling 701-328-4995. You will be answering the certification questions for each week you are certifying for. To receive a benefit check you need to certify your weekly eligibility for each week that you wish to claim benefits for. A claim week runs from Sunday through Saturday Midnight.

You must return to work continuously for at least six months before you can make another claim for unemployment benefit and the waiting period will apply to each individual claim. If you have periods of unemployment that are separated by six consecutive months or less we shall treat this as one continuous claim, ie continuing as if it was your previous claim, providing you have not received the maximum number of monthly benefits you selected.

a self-employed person, to qualify for unemployment benefits you must provide evidence that your final accounts have been submitted and your business has: Please note: You will be considered to be self employed if, amongst other things, you are working for a company, and in any way connected with a person who has control over that company (for example, you are one of his or her family).

Bring your social security number. We cannot file your claim without it. If you received a separation notice or letter from your former employer, bring it with you when you file your claim. In some cases this will help speed up the process of determining your eligibility for benefits. You will need the names and addresses of your employers for the last 18 months, and the dates you worked at each place.
