Herbicide spray applications are associated with timber harvests designed to promote forest tree regeneration. The application of herbicide may be necessary to remove existing understory vegetation that competes for light, water and nutrients needed to establish tree seedlings. Generally speaking, if more than 30% of the total area contains competitive understory vegetation, then herbicide control may be warranted.

During favorable weather conditions, brownout typically occurs within 2 to 3 weeks for fern, grasses, and beech brush. However, near drought conditions may delay all outward signs of herbicide activity until the following season. Review the overall efficacy of the herbicide spray project near the end of the first growing season following the herbicide spray operation. Even then, it may take two growing seasons before you can determine the percent kill for striped maple.

Did the herbicide application succeed? Yes, if we achieve the 15% post spray threshold as discussed in Question 17, above. Did we achieve an adequate level of regeneration after the herbicide application? A successful forest herbicide application in, and of itself, will not assure that desirable results will be achieved.

Begin spraying ferns and beech brush around the first of July. Begin spraying striped maple in August or whenever terminal growth stops and buds are set. Generally: spray ferns early, spray striped maple later, when a combination of species are present spray at the time best suited for striped maple. Spray beech brush anytime after full leaf expansion. If given a choice, the herbicide spray application should be timed to take advantage of a good overstory seed crop.

Standard use rates of methylated seed oil (MSO) or crop oil concentrate (COC) plus a nitrogen source from UAN, AMS, or 10-34-0 fertilizer is recommended to maximize performance. IMPACT herbicide offers exceptional corn tolerance and will allow flexibility with all current soil and foliar applied insecticide programs.

Do not conduct a harvest or otherwise disturb the spray site 4 to 8 weeks prior to the scheduled herbicide application. Do not conduct a harvest or otherwise disturb the spray site for at least 3 to 4 weeks after the herbicide spray application. Wait till leaf fall before disturbing the site to maximize translocation of the herbicide(s) to the root system.

If a person has Vitiligo over more than half of the exposed areas of the body, he or she is not a candidate for repigmentation. Rather, such a person may want to try depigmentation of the remaining pigmented skin. The drug for depigmentation is monobenzylether of hydroquinone. Many patients with Vitiligo are at first apprehensive about the idea of depigmentation and reluctant to go ahead. However, patients who achieve complete depigmentation are usually satisfied with the end results.

Fertilizers - To determine the waiting period after fertilizer application before harvesting or grazing, you need to consider: Generally, it is recommended to wait for rainfall or after irrigation to wash fertilizer off the foliage and into the soil, before allowing livestock to graze. Also, if growing conditions are poor (e.g. cool, cloudy, dry conditions) after fertilizer application, there can be accumulation of nitrate in forage, which can be toxic to livestock.

Check the label. If the label states that surfactants are needed then one (or more) should be added. Make sure to use only an aquatic registered surfactant - many are available.

Picloram, triclopyr, clopyralid, fluroxypyr and tebuthiuron, the active ingredients in Tordon? 22K, Grazon? P+D, Remedy?, Reclaim?, Spike? 20P, Redeem? R&P, Surmount???, PastureGard??? disrupt the growth process within the plant by affecting enzymes unique to plants. Research has shown that when these active ingredients are applied in accordance with their label directions, they do not have a similar effect on animals or insects.

Both products work in similar ways but Pasture Pro is labeled specifically where animals will be grazing immediately. This means you don't have to remove animals from pasture sprayed with Pasture Pro.

If you are using a spray solution with a cosmetic tint, some of the bronze color may rub off on clothing or bed sheets. This is most likely to happen when you get dressed immediately after tanning. To minimize the chance of the tint transferring to clothing, we recommend that you wear loose-fitting, darker clothes after your spray session. The cosmetic tint is water-soluble. Therefore, in most cases, the color will come out of clothing in the wash.

Usually brush and roll is superior to spray application. Most surfaces wood, stucco or masonry will have small cracks and crevices that only brush and roll application can effectively fill and cover. With spray application, the coating tends to just lay on the surface. It is also difficult to get adequate millage because it must be sprayed so heavily it will tend to sag and run. Also, with spray application a good portion goes into the air.

For acute symptoms, use the spray at least 3 to 5 times daily with two sprays in each nostril or directly on throat tissue when inflamed. For relief of chronic symptoms use the spray at least twice daily with one spray in each nostril. Usage may vary greatly depending upon individual symptoms, and can be used more or less frequently depending upon individual response.

DON'T PANIC! You might have pulled the trigger back to hard. If the trigger is pulled back too hard, it can "stick". Simply put your index finger behind the blue trigger an push it forward. A "pop" or "click" should happen. If you push on the trigger a few times, it should start spraying again. If you leave your can with the trigger out of position, the gas with seep out, rendering the can unusable. Think of the paint as a can of whip cream..

Absolutely not! We apply all paints by hand. Most homes in the area have masonite siding, which is very susceptible to moisture damage. The underside of each siding board is especially prone to moisture entry because it is a rough cut or "end-grain." If you have a newer home and look at this area on your siding, it will look thin, and probably have some mildew growth. The odds are very good that your home was sprayed when it was built.

Is there a specific moisture content level that will yield the best cedar shake or shingle application? Your installer should take care to ensure a high enough moisture content to avoid splitting the product due to brittleness.
