Endocrinology is the study of hormones. Hormones are made in the thyroid gland, pituitary gland, adrenal gland, and pancreas. We help people control diseases such as Diabetes, Grave's Disease, and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis disease. We also help people with Acromegaly, Prolactinoma, Cushing's Syndrome, Addison's Disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and Osteoporosis. Most of our patients traveling from out of state fly in to the John Wayne Airport (Orange County). Most major airlines fly into the airport. Yes, we provide you a list of "house rules" for the safety and comfort of all volunteers. These include rules on smoking, alcohol and caffeine use, as well as behavior. In addition, an individual sponsor may have rules that relate to a specific study. For example, you may be required to eat all the food provided or to refrain from physical exercise.

Lanakila Health Center, TB clinic visits are first come, first serve. Waiting time for each visit will depend on the number of patients ahead of you. A visit for a TB skin test may take 30 minutes. A visit for a chest x-ray may take one hour or more. If you are on TB medication, you will need to return monthly for an evaluation and for a medication refill.
