Why does the TrailTech Endurance take a few seconds to show speed changes?
FAQsWith any digital speedometer, it takes two wheel revolutions (sensor triggers) before the computer can make an estimate of speed. The more samples acquired before displaying an update, the more accurate the number (at the end of a ride, the average speed number will be very accurate). For rapid stop/start riding, the digital speedometer will not display accurate numbers. If riding at a "pace", the displayed speed number will be accurate.
What is the relationship between reloads and kB!s?
Glock kB! FAQ v1.35Successive re-sizing and firing of a case result in eventual weakening of the brass, increasing the probability of case failure. What is the difference between KB/s and Kb/s?
Konnections.com - Support - FAQWhen transmitted over a modem, there are ten bits per byte (eight data bits plus a start bit and a stop bit). So if one modem seems ten times faster than another, it's because different units are being used.
Why do I only get credit for one start page every 20 seconds?
AdSwappers: FAQOffering only one credit per 20 seconds helps prevent fraud by ensuring that users do not open large numbers of windows in quick succession. Programs that do not have a time limit for start pages will offer lower quality page-views, as there is no incentive for the user to actually look at the site once it has loaded. Since our service loads ads in a maximized window and encourages users to spend time there, visitors will get a better feel for your site.

Why Is My Upload Speed Limit So Slow?
Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attac...We allow uploads without speed restrictions. In fact, some of our users can upload files at over 400 Kilobytes a second! However, if you are connected with a typical broadband connection you should get around 20 KB per second for send/upload speed. This is because broadband providers set a much lower rate for upload speeds than download speeds. This will depend on your broadband connection and is in no way related to sendspace or our servers.
I'm only getting 50 KB per second speed, why is this slower than my 56k dialup?
Sboca Wireless Network - SupportActually, you are getting almost 8 times the speed of your dialup! This is a common misconception with how dialup bandwidth speeds are reported. On the Internet, or any network, bandwidth is reported as Kb (kilobits). However, in almost all operating systems (all Microsoft Windows included), bandwidth and storage are reported as KB (kilobytes). The difference being that there are 8 bits in one byte. For example. A 56kbps dialup modem will have a maximum download speed of about 4 KB per second.
Why does Emacs take 20 seconds to visit a file?
GNU Emacs FAQOld versions of Emacs (i.e., versions before Emacs 20.x) often encountered this when the master lock file, !!!SuperLock!!!, has been left in the lock directory somehow. Delete it. Mark Meuer says that NeXT NFS has a bug where an exclusive create succeeds but returns an error status. This can cause the same problem. Since Emacs's file locking doesn't work over NFS anyway, the best solution is to recompile Emacs with CLASH_DETECTION undefined.
Ok, I have a modelling package, now tell me everything you know in 20 seconds or less?
Motor World Online - FAQBWAHAHAHAhahaha. I actually know very little, I'm what you call a 'HACK', and wouldn't presume to try to instruct anyone since that would result in YOU being as goofy as ME when YOU go to model. Instead, take one (or more) of the packages you've downloaded, and try to make something simple at first, like a chess piece, a stop sign, a wheel, something like that. All of the packages I've mentioned above either come with documentation, or links TO documentation.

My upload speed is exceeding my upload limit, why?
Emuleplus-FAQCheck to make sure you have entered the correct limit value for uploads in settings. This might have been changed by you sometime and forgot to return it back to the old value. Values in the capability field have no effect on connection speeds, they are only used for statistical graph purposes. If not any of the above, and the speed is only 1-2KB higher then you might have a huge overhead being made. This can happen and shouldn't be reported.
