U.S. and Canadian Citizens need a current passport or an original/or certified (raised state seal) copy of your birth certificate; plus photo identification (like a driver's license). If you do not have a certified copy of your birth certificate, you can apply to the State Department of Vital Statistics from the state you were born. Non-U.S. Citizens who are residing in the United States are required to travel with their Alien Registration Card (Green Card) and valid passports. Non-U.S.

The airlines require all passengers 18 years of age and older to present positive identification for travel. Acceptable forms of positive identification include either: Two forms of non-photo identification, one of which must be issued by a federal, state, or local government agency. So long as your minor children are traveling with you, they will not require identification. Please consult with your airline regarding their specific rules for unaccompanied minors.

If you are requesting a certificate, you must provide a copy of your government-issued photo ID. This is to help prevent identification fraud and to insure that you are eligible to receive the certificate. A government-issued photo ID of the person named on the certificate is not required unless you are requesting your own birth, marriage, or divorce certificate.

Your student photo I.D. is used to check out materials. Bring your student I.D. to the library to have staff activate it.
