Our Swedish Cope logs come from Northern Utah. We mill our own materials in Phoenix for our D-Shaped logs, and the other logs we handle may come from various locations throughout the west.

Logcrafters hand cuts full compound dovetail corner that is self-locking. This corner was originally conceived by Scandinavian craftsmen as the ultimate in fine handcrafted locking corners. At final assembly we seal the corner with a rubberized sealant and spike it with a 10" helix spike. This spike is added insurance against any possible twisting or movement. We allow a 3/4" to 1" space between our logs.

There are many types of synthetic (manufactured) logs on the market. You need to carefully read the instructions on the packaging. Those instructions should clearly mention whether the logs are approved for use in a fireplace (freestanding stove, zero clearance fireplace, or fireplace insert). If there is no restriction mentioned on the packaging, try to contact the log manufacturer. Some types of synthetic logs are forbidden for use in freestanding stoves.
