PTMac uses reduced size images for the warped image preview and in the panorama editor window. The scale of the thumbnail images had to be reduced to gain acceptable performance on older computers. You can change the scale of images used for the editor window via the pop-up in the lower left corner of the editor window. You can choose one of the pre-selected options or enter your preference via the custom setting.

The thumbnail image layout on your screen is dependent on your browser window size. The larger your Web browser window, the more images that fit. If you find printouts of the archive page are being cropped when you print them, try two things. First, set up your printer driver to print in a "Landscape" format (prints across the wide part of a page instead of the narrower part).

Slow synchronization flash sets a slow shutter speed for the background exposure and fires the flash for the subject exposure. Make sure the images you upload are large enough resolution. At least 550 pixels along the longest dimension. Also, make sure your computer is not running any kind of "accelerator" programs. These programs are most common with aol and earthlink and "speed up" your download speed by reducing image quality.

Depending on the size of the original document, some of the thumbnails are less than 1% of the size of the original. This extreme condensation of information is difficult to do with perfect clarity. The thumbnails you see in the thumbnail list are not actual files. They are only previews of the files. There are two different ways to accomplish your goals in trying to make thumbnail size files. Edit | Select All and then Image | Batch Process. On the third screen of the batch wizard, go to Add | Transform | Rotate/Resize. The default thumbnail size is 96x72. If you are creating thumbnails for web pages, go to Image | Web Page Wizard.

JAlbum will process files with filetypes specified in ‘filetypes.xml’ (found in the JAlbum program directory). This results in albums with “thumbnail images” and “slide images” that are not images at all, but are other types of files. By editing ‘filetypes.xml’ JAlbum can process additional file types.
