No. To be able to draw discrete components and circuit diagrams requires Circuit Wizard, Livewire or PCB Wizard 3. Simulation of circuit diagrams requires Circuit Wizard or Livewire.

The best thing to do is is to generate the schematic using a compatible schematic capture program, such as OrCad Capture and provide the design file to us. We can compile the PCB and generate the layout and supply the required Gerber files for PCB production. We can also produce the boards for you. Once the layout is complete and approved, we can supply pricing for the unpopulated boards, or on a complete assembly. ATL maintains up-to-date board layout software under maintenance contracts.

Sometimes I will do the PCB layout; especially on small boards. Usually depends if my main subcontractor is busy.

Yes. A teacher may use Control Studio 2 at home for educational purposes so long as the teacher is employed by a licensed institution.

Students are not permitted to use a school/college version at home. However, a special low-cost version is available that can be used at home. Only if the portable computer is owned by the licensee and is normally used at the postal address of the licensee.

You may notice Studio 2 listed on our schedule for a few classes. Whereas our main space is quite large, Studio 2 is our smaller secondary space. When classes are held in this studio it is possible that we will run out of space so there is a chance of being turned away during busier time slots. Show up early.

There's more components to design with, better simulation accuracy, wires that don't break when you move components, enhanced translation from circuit design to circuit board and much improved component placement and automatic routing.

Yes, text should be submitted as HTML: this means you can use <font>-tags, bold, italics and much more. We do not allow http-links (<a href...) yet, though. Well, yes......... We only accept PURE text with HTML add-ons. This means that Microsoft Word and other word processors own formats are not accepted. However, Word and most others can save text as in HTML format too. (Check out the 'save as...' options)

The amount of documentation depends on what you specify and the conditions under which the design is accomplished. Usually, you receive a schematic (either in printed or electronic format, or both), PDF files of the board silkscreen, the Gerber files for fabricating the PCB, and a bill of materials (BOM). The format of the BOM depends on what you contract for. As a minimum, we provide a CAD-generated BOM that lists the parts as used in the design.

OrCAD?, Protel? and others export their parts list information as a delimited text data file. Depending on how much effort you have put into organizing these programs' internal databases, you may have only marginally useful reporting functions directly from that program. P&V helps you bring in the data that you have, and enhance it as a parts list with linked suppliers, costs, links to CAD files and other supporting information.

Yes, use the CIFSAVE command to save the currently loaded structures into a CIF file. In an older version of ASITIC you may need to specify the scale and grid size. scale=1 and 1/(grid size)=100 are common settings.
