A good new 9v battery will last 4~8 hours on the mini spy camera but shorter on the wireless receiver. It's recommended you use a 9v 500mA DC adaptor on the receiver for better performance. Some sizes of batteries are available as both Alkaline cells (often indicated by a prefix of LR) and Silver-Oxide cells (often indicated by a prefix of SR). Silver-Oxide cells are normally used in watches. They are a little more expensive but last much longer. Alkaline batteries can last up to 5 years in storage, as long as they are not exposed to undue heat and sunlight. Many people store their alkaline batteries in their freezer to keep them fresh but this is unneccessay as storing the batteries in a cool dark place will give you the same benefits and you will be able to use the battery immediatley. For best effect, try to drink directly from the machine. However, if you need to store the water, try to collect the water daily to maximize the benefits derived from the Alkaline Antioxidant Water (AIW). There is no harm storing the water for many days. The lithium battery with printed circuit solder tabs connecting the battery to the main board is the only way to reliably protect your valuable patches and sequences. The lithium battery will last from 10 to 15 years whether the keyboard is used or not. It is not recommended to circumvent this design. This depends somewhat on the level of radio power and the amount of power consumed by running motors, but the base level of consumption is in the vicinity of 200 milliamps without motor operation.
