No, you are no longer required to file with your insurance company before filing with the Air Force. If you choose to do so, that information must be disclosed when your claim is filed with the government. You cannot receive compensation from both sources for the same loss or damage. Note: The carrier may have a similar requirement for claims under FRV shipments.

You may file your claim at any Georgia Department of Labor Career Center. To find the office nearest to you, go to Find Us, then select Career Centers.

Who knows! A good conservative estimate is at least 25,000 different and distinctive patches have been produced for U.S. Air Force units. Including variations of patches significantly increases this number.

There are funds that you can claim with. Ask your consultant and/or your fund for further information.

After you have lodged the non-injury accident report with your insurance company or Police, you can file an insurance claim on your own or through one of the followings:

You contact your insurance agent and file a claim as you normally would. Tell them that you have a complete inventory of the lost or damaged items and provide them with your back up copy. However, if you use our safe, off-site storage you would supply us with a signed authorization, and we will provide your insurance company with a back-up copy of your inventory. Our helpful links page has information on how to file a claim if help is needed.

Submit a letter to the City, outlining the circumstances, and include at least two estimates for repairs to damages (or receipts if repairs have been completed) to the City Clerk's Department. The claim will be investigated and you will be advised in writing of the City's decision. For further information, you can contact Assistant City Clerk via e-mail or at (780) 538-0338.

Contact your insurance agent and company right away. Any burglaries or theft should also be reported to the police immediately. Read your insurance policy so that you know what your responsibilities are to your insurance company after a loss. After a disaster, take steps to protect your property from further damage by making temporary repairs. If immediate repairs to equipment are necessary, save the damaged parts in case the claims adjuster is interested in examining them.

Depending on the individual's insurance coverage, many private insurance companies do cover air ambulance transfers. It is best to check with the insured policy for pre approval of the air ambulance transfer. Medicare will not pay unless it is certain that it is that the transport is a medical necessity. We are able to submit a claim on behalf of the patient once an Advance Beneficiary Notice is signed and sent to us.

Air Force personnel have to shave as described above. Navy personnel may make application to grow a beard. If/when granted they are then NOT ALLOWED to shave for a set period.

All Air Force units (numbered flights and squadrons) and establishments (groups and above) are authorized an emblem. However, not all units have a patch produced. Most flying units will have a patch made, but many non-flying units will not. If a unit is not authorized to wear a patch on the uniform then obviously there is no justification for spending the money. Although not officially authorized a distinctive emblem, detachments, flights, and sections often have patches made up.

The answer is maybe. Back in the good 'ol days Air Force units would often give patches out on request. Unfortunately, because of shrinking budget, Air Force units can no longer afford to send out patches to everybody that requests them. If you do write a unit, more than likely your letter will be forwarded to the base public affairs office who will send you a list of companies that sell patches.

If the unit is still active you can write it. You will want to write either the historian or public affairs. Use the following address format: Inquiries should include as much info as possible about the unit and parent units. If you e-mail a request, be sure to include your mailing address as most of the Agency's materials cannot currently be sent via e-mail.

If you choose to do so, yes. We do not directly bill insurance companies, however. We can assist you in obtaining the necessary paperwork for such a claim. Be advised that our fees are so low that there is often little to no benefit in filing a claim.
