You cannot add notes directly onto the CD. By its nature it is a read-only medium. This feature keeps others from deleting or changing your originals and is usually required if the images are to be used for legal purposes. You can annotate or otherwise edit the documents once you copy them to your hard drive or other read/write media. Additionally, many document management systems will allow you to associate notes with your documents.

You can annotate or otherwise edit Word documents once you copy them to your hard drive or other read/write media. However, only limited editing of PDF documents can be accomplished. PDF documents can be made password-secure upon your request.

ANSWER: Yes, the system does support scanned and all other documents in color, however, filing colored documents is discouraged because the size may be an issue.

DWC will not destroy documents immediately. Paper documents will be kept for a period of time. To be prudent, paper files will not be destroyed until the system has been successfully running for some time, and backup capability has been demonstrated and tested.

In RR for Windows or Mac, you can add Notes and Dog-Ear markers to a file from either the ParagraphView or "on the fly" while in TurboView. In ParagraphView select the Notes Icon and the notepad will appear. Click "done" to attach the note to the word you selected. While in TurboView you can simply press ALT+N (Mac Command+N) for a note or ALT+D (Mac Command+D) for a Dog-Ear and the markup will be placed with the word appearing in the TurboView Window.

Any type of document can be scanned. Currently our limitations are on documents wider than 36" or longer than 10'. Documents ranging from 2.2" x 2.8" to 11" x 17" can be automatically fed through an ADF on a high-speed production scanner. Anything smaller than 2.2" x 2.8" will be scanned on a flatbed exceptions scanner and anything over 11" x 17" will be scanned with a wide format scanner (aka blueprint scanner).

A – No, but there is 2 megabyte (MB) limit on file size. We recommend a scanner DPI setting of 150 or less to keep the PDF file size as small as possible.
