Clearly communicate to the AIs the role they are to take (grader, discussion leader, note taker, lab assistant…) and what those duties entail. Have regular (weekly?) meetings during which you clearly explain your expectations, get updates on what is happening with the discussion sections, let AIs know what you will expect in terms of content knowledge from the students. Look ahead at the coming week and prepare them for any unusual event.

To monitor AIS, you need to connect your receiver's discriminator output to your PC's soundcard using an audio cable. With Shipplotter you can then monitor AIS. The interfaces are meant for decoding paging and will not work with AIS.

Yes. Just enter the IP address of the CDPD modem and port 12345 into the iCGRS Eth Setup page and start to stream DBN and SVN in binary at 1 per second. The CDPD modem will receive the data and transfer it to the rover receiver through its serial port. The power supply we provide puts out 24 VDC. The receiver will draw its power from the highest voltage source.

If the iCGRS unit sits behind a firewall, ask your information system administrator to open the HTTPS port (443) of the iCGRS' IP address. Then computers outside of the firewall will be able to access the iCGRS unit from a browser with https://xxx.xxx.xxx URL. (where xxx.xxx.xxx is the iCGRS' IP address).

Our HTTPS server has a self-signed certificate which means that it can not be verified by the standard root certificates included with the JRE. If you use the Windows installer package, you won't have this problem because the bundled JRE has our root certificate embedded within it. To allow the Client running as an Applet/Executable JAR file to connect to our HTTPS server, you must: lt;JRE path>\bin\keytool -import -alias DMAPCA -file DMAPCA.

Ease of use - It is easier to use a GPS receiver than to navigate by using a map. On the GPS screen you can see where you want to go (as in a map) but also where you are! GPS receivers are going to replace traveling maps - GPS receivers are smaller to carry, easier to handle, much more versatile and updateable. Personal navigation with a GPS also means you can customize maps as you go along - plotting points of interest and marking all those wonderful places in an easy, neat and ordered manner.

The TX-NR900 is a "true" two-zone receiver. Depending on the application there are several ways to use this feature. You may set powered zone2 to active in the speaker setup menu if you want to use a powered zone2 in addition to the 5.1 channel main zone. Doing this switches the surround back speaker output to powered zone2. The 5.1 channel and zone2 outputs may be used simultaneously in this configuration.

The direction finders will work with AM receivers such as those used in the aircraft band, but the antenna needs special consideration. In mobile service in the aircraft band using a NBFM receiver, the antenna elements should be cut for resonance at the operating frequency. The system will then work at frequencies above and below resonance with only a small loss in sensitivity. This is because the relative phase between elements is not affected by the resonance condition.

Possibly. However, it will not be supported or warranted for this application. NASA is using Wegener COMPEL-CA encryption for some channels under selected conditions. Conditional Access decoding is assured using a Wegener NASA project receivers or receiver-servers. The channel listing in question 2 notes which channels will be encrypted, decoded only with the Wegener receiver family, designated for the NASA mission.

Universal GPS receivers with cable connection usually have a RS-232 interface (nine-pole DB-9 female connector) for the data and a PS/2 connector for voltage supply. Adaptor cables to connect GPS receivers and mobile phones directly, are usually not available. Therefore it makes sense to connect the data cable of the mobile phone with the connection cable of the GPS receiver.

There are several programs you can use to stream movies in the Archive. Because we allow users to upload video files in any format, the same player will not always work for every single file, so it's a good idea to have a couple of programs available that you can try. Also, some files simply can't be streamed. Usually, this happens when the program that created the video file uses a codec that our software doesn't understand.
