When filled with helium, a latex balloon will usually last twelve hours and then start to deflate. A microfoil balloon will usually last 4 to 5 days before it starts to deflate - very slowly.

About 95% will rise to 28,000 feet where the air is thin and very cold. The cold temperature causes the latex to become brittle. The thin air causes the balloons to expand and shatter into tiny pieces. The remaining 5% of released balloons, that do not rise high enough to shatter, drift with the wind currents for approximately 8 to 14 hours before coming down. Latex balloons have a limited life of about 18-24 hours for 11-12" pearlshine (metallic) balloons, so inflation should be done as close to the event time as possible. We are able to supply a product which can increase the float life of a helium inflated latex balloon.

Foil balloons will remain buoyant for about 2 weeks. They stay firm for the first 2-3 days and after may need slight re-inflation for firmness (not buoyancy), which can be done carefully with a straw and air.

All balloons are shipped flat, without air or helium. Balloon weights and ribbons are sold separately.

It depends on a couple of things, the size of the balloons and the tank size. Temperature and tank pressures are also factors. Hearts last for 3 weeks (inflate them nice and full to get a full "heart" shape). 350's last for 2 weeks and 260's last for 1 week.
