Your cabinet should have a model number and rating plate on the back, if there is no rating plate the cabinet will need to have the impedance measured by an engineer. We do not recommend using the cabinet until the impedance has been checked as it could damage both your amplifier and cabinet if either is used incorrectly. If your cabinet has a rating plate the impedance of the cabinet must match the impedance of the amplifier you are connecting it to.

All dual channel Crown amplifiers can be treated as if they are two separate "mono" amplifiers (One channel completely independent of the other) For example: A Macro-Tech 1202 can function with a single eight-ohm speaker on channel one and four eight-ohm speakers (a two-ohm load) on channel two. A Com-Tech 410 can function with one or two eight-ohm speakers on one channel and the other channel switched to 70-volt operation.

Bioelectrical impedance technology measures conductivity (ohms) of the body. The method is based on the fact that the lean tissue of the body is much more conductive due to it's higher water content than that of fat tissue. A bioimpedance meter is attached to the body at the extremities (hand and foot) introducing an 800 micro-amp / 50 kilohertz signal that measures the body's impedance.

Please note in the case of Aaron Loudspeakers speakers you will not have to worry about impedance compatibility with any reputable amplifier manufacturer. According to IEC standards a speaker manufacturer should quote Nominal Impedance as no higher than 20% below the minimum measurement obtained when testing the speaker system. The problem is the speakers impedance is not the same at different frequencies so a manufacturer should quote the Nominal Impedance as being the lowest value measured.
