soon as you start a download (leeching), you are also uploading (seeding). That cannot be prevented - it is part of the BitTorrent system, and nothing to worry about. The only file that is uploading is the one that you are also downloading. Nothing is uploaded without you knowing about it, and no part of your hard disk is 'shared'. Once the download is done, it is considered very selfish and rude to close the download window straight away, because all uploading (seeding) would also stop.

If for some reason (e.g. pc crash or a frozen client) your client exits improperly and you restart it, it will have a new peer_id, so it will show as a new torrent. The old one will never receive a "event=completed"or "event=stopped" and will be listed until some tracker timeout. Just ignore it, it will eventually go away. See similar questions...

When a file is first released, no one will have any parts of the file. The user that created the torrent (or someone else that has the complete file) will seed the file by running their bit torrent client, "downloading" to the location of the complete file.
