The cut / copy / paste commands require some more action than in other applications. You have to specify a reference point when copying / cutting entities and you have to place the entities when pasting them. Use the selection tools in the CAD toolbar at the left to select the entities you want to copy to the clipboard or simply click the entities you want to copy with the left mouse button. Entities that are red are selected and will be copied.

Under X-windows, use your mouse. Highlight the text to be copied, switch to the location where you want to copy it, and press the middle mouse button to paste. This works nice and fast, as long as during the switching you do not deselect the original text. If your mouse has only two buttons (no middle button) use "both buttons together" or perhaps the right button (which combination works depends on your setup). Note that on a "wheel" mouse the wheel is the middle button.

On the majority of modern UNIX systems, cutting text from one window and pasting it into another should work fine. On a few, however, there are problems due to issues about how the terminal is handled: most programs expect the terminal to be in 'canonical input mode', which means that the program is passed a whole line of input at a time, while for editing the shell needs a single character at a time and must be in 'non-canonical input mode'.

Copying is the act of making a duplicate. Cutting is the act of removing something and placing it in another location (Deleting is the act of removing something entirely). Cutting sometimes works like deleting. Pasting is the act of placing anything that has been cut or copied into a new location. There are many ways to copy or cut, and paste, but all of them involve highlighting what you want to copy or cut first.

Using cut-n-paste selected files/folders are actually moved from source to desired destination. In other words you can move files/folders using this feature.

It is because cut, copy, and paste only copy the element itself, it does not copy the referenced element. For example gradient, filter, etc do not copied.

Place your mouse cursor at the beginning of the text which you wish to copy; (2) Press down on your left mouse button and start highlighting while simultaneously moving your mouse down so that it stops at the last letter of the text you wish to copy; (3) Stop pressing the mouse button; (4) Right click your mouse button and select COPY or use your browser's Copy button on the top of the browser's taskbar; (5) To paste, hit PASTE in your browser's taskbar or right click your mouse button and selec.

Step 1: Select a blob(s) using the blob selection cursor. (Metadata Cut will work for multiple blobs, but Copy Metadata and Paste Metadata will not for multiple blobs.) Step 2: Select Cut Metadata, Copy Metadata, or Paste Metadata from the Edit menu of the Image Viewer or click the appropriate button on the Image Viewer bar. GC Image modifies the blob table accordingly.

You can invoke any of the following commands: Delete, Copy, Cut, Find, FindNext, FindPrev, Paste, Select All, Undo and Redo.

Hold down the left mouse button and pass the cursor over the keycode. This will highlight the code in black. Let go of the mouse button and move the cursor to the center of the highlight without pressing any buttons. Put the cursor in the registration window, press the right-most mouse button again and select "Paste" from the pop-up menu. The keycode should appear in the registration box. Be sure to eliminate any spaces before or after the code so you can have a clean paste.

Highlight - Position the mouse pointer at the top left of the code. Press down the left mouse button and while holding it down drag the mouse to the bottom right of the text. This should highlight the text to copy. Copy - Whilst the mouse pointer is over the highlighted text click the right mouse button and select 'Copy' Paste - Click where you wish the text to be inserted.

All modern operating systems such as Microsoft Windows have a feature where you can "copy" selected items to a thing called the "clipboard", where those items are temporarily stored. You can then "paste" the contents of the clipboard to another location. Typically this is used for duplicating text from one document to another.

Once you get the mouse daemon running (see previous section), hold down the button 1 (left button) and move the mouse to select a region of text. Then, press the button 2 (middle button) or the button 3 (right button) to paste it at the text cursor. In versions 2.2.6 and later, pressing the button 2 will paste the text. Pressing the button 3 will ''extend'' the selected region of text.

Unless the cut is over, say, 2 inches across, it really isn't necessary. Cut paste seems to be more for cosmetic purposes than medicinal. Cut paste is superfluous on conifers. The least recommended type of cut paste is soil. You can introduce harmful microorganisms into the cut with that.

Select the entire chart by clicking near one of the outer borders (you should see several black markers appear around the edge of the chart). Copy the chart by either choosing 'copy' from the File menu, by right-clicking near the chart edge and choosing 'copy', or by using CTRL+C after you have selected the chart. Then, simply paste the chart into a document or another spreadsheet as you would with any other software.
