If we get enough rain at this time of year to overfill the pool you can rest assured it will not last and within a very short space of time the water will evaporate off again. During the wet season I only recommend you drain the pool if it is going to overflow to somewhere that you don't want the water to be (like your lounge room!) or if there are lots of leaves in the pool that need to be skimmed off.
