Bandwidth can be compared to monthly air time for a cell phone. Some phones allow you 100 anytime minutes, which allows you to make or receive calls for a total of 100 minutes before you are charged. What this means for your website is that for each page that is viewed, or for any email sent or received, a small chunk of bandwidth is taken up (typically around 20KB at a time). BitTorrent is good and similar to FreeCache in that it balances download "horizontically". BitTorrent uses other BitTorrent clients for this balancing; these clients often become un-available after a particular file is not popular anymore.
