In Bogazici University an e-mail account is assigned to each student and staff in the name.surname@boun.edu.tr format. Furthermore, special accounts are given for various activities.

WebMail is an Internet interface for your iun.edu account. This allows you to access your IUN e-mail from anywhere in the world as long as you have an Internet connection. You can access the WebMail start page through the IUN Homepage. Just click on the WebMail icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page. If you are accessing WebMail through a browser, it is strongly recommended that you use Microsoft Internet Explorer and not Netscape Navigator.

If you have forgotten your username and case-sensitive password, go to MyCourses, click on Login Problems, then go down to Reset Password and click the link if you forgot your MyCourses/eCommons password, and follow the syntax rules for resetting your case-sensitive password.

A Internet Texoma has a feature called MailMan. MailMan is a Web-based application which allows the user to send and receive Internet e-mail from any Internet-connected Web browser. MailMan does not remove messages from POP3 mailboxes unless you explicitly delete them, so MailMan is an ideal method of keeping up with Internet e-mail correspondence while you are away from your home or office without the hassle of configuring another computer.

When you establish your CNet ID (at cnet.uchicago.edu/) you will automatically be given a University e-mail account. Your e-mail address will be your CNet ID @uchicago.edu. You can access your University e-mail account from any computer with an Internet connection through cMail, the University's Web-based e-mail system. There are a variety of ways to handle this. If you use Outlook, TextAloud will install a toolbar available in outlook under View->Toolbars. This will make it very simple to listen to emails. Toolbars for other mail clients will be coming, but for now if you use something other than outlook your best bets are to use TextAloud's clipboard watching or the Speak or Proofread Hotkeys. If you work for an on-campus employer, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Isle of Shoals, or the Community Work Study Program (Cornell Public Service Center), you are appointed to the Cornell payroll. Otherwise, you are paid by the employer, and Cornell reimburses the employer a percentage of your wages in the fall. The student service fee is paid by all full and part-time students. The fee helps to provide for University services and student activities. Services include use of the campus health center, Career Development Center, Counseling Services, fitness center, and attendance at cultural programs.
