We strongly recommend that you do not try to fit HID headlights yourself. These headlights require electronic control gear that can interfere with other electrical systems on your car, for example the airbag. They also produce extremely high voltages that could be potentially lethal. There are car manufacturers that offer a service to retrofit high intensity discharge headlights to some models of car (BMW, VW). The interaction of the electrical arc and the gasses inside of the capsule give off a higher color temperature (4,100 K) that is closer to true white.
