The Iowa Tests are an example of achievement tests. These are tests that measure what a student has learned over a certain period of time. The Cognitive Abilities Test is an example of an ability test. It is used to measure a student's potential in reasoning and problem solving. These tests are designed to work together and complement each other.

In the category of reading, students are tested in Word Study Skills, Vocabulary, and Reading Comprehension. In Math, the students are tested in Problem Solving and Procedures. In language, students are tested in Language Mechanics and Language Expression. Students are also tested in spelling, science, social science, listening, and thinking skills.

The Stanford Diagnostic Reading Test, or "SDRT", is a group-administered, norm-referenced test given to students in grades 4-10. It is a multiple-choice test that measures students' reading skills in the areas of vocabulary, comprehension, and scanning for information.

The Woodcock-Johnson Psycho-Educational Battery-Revised (WJ-R) provides a normed set of tests for measuring cognitive abilities and academic achievement. In the CDS-I and CDS-II, we selected three subtests as a measure of reading and match achievement: the Letter-Word, the Passage Comprehension, and the Applied Problems tests (the Calculation test was additionally administered in CDS-I.

Iowa is located in the heart of the Midwest! Iowa is positioned south of Minnesota, north of Missouri, West of Illinois and East of Nebraska. Both Interstate 80 and Interstate 35 run through Iowa and actually meet in the Greater Des Moines area.

The Stanford 10 is an achievement test and the measures the academic achievement in 9 academic disciplines and the OLSAT 8 is an aptitude test measuring the potential achievement of a student.

You may choose another test. Local homeschool organizations and bookstores that supply homeschool materials often provide standardized testing. You may want to check what your state's requirements are with regard to standardized testing for homeschool students.

We only accept the standardized test scores that apply to college admissions - specifically, the ACT, SAT, PSAT or PLAN. Admission requirements to the Academy are the same for Columbus and the Regional campuses. All students, regardless of campus of enrollment, must meet the admissions requirements. Admission to the Academy does not guarantee admission to Ohio State after high school graduation.

Stanford affiliates are scattered all over the area - generally within 4.5 miles of campus. Many people prefer to be within Palo Alto and Menlo Park because of the proximity to campus, but these cities are more expensive than most of the surrounding communities. More and more Stanford affiliates are choosing Redwood City, Mountain View, and Sunnyvale because of the lower rents.

Stanford Elm is located at 111th Street and South Sheridan. The north and west boundaries of the development coincide with the line between the City of Tulsa (to the north and west), and the City of Bixby (to the south and east). From the Creek Turnpike (also known as Highway 169), take the Memorial exit south. Go about one and one-half miles south on Memorial to the intersection of 111th Street. Go west for one mile to the corner of 111th and Sheridan.

The Stanford Grokker is a special version of Grokker available exclusively to Stanford faculty, students and staff. Stanford Grokker provides a single point of access to Socrates, HighWire Press, Expanded Academic ASAP, Academic Search Premier, the Library of Congress, IEEE Explore, RLG Union Catalog and the web. SULAIR and Groxis continue to work together to add new features to Grokker and to expand the number of research sources that Grokker accesses.

SULAIR is in the business of helping scholars find and use information; so we are always on the look-out for the best and most useful information products and services. Partnering with Groxis to develop Stanford Grokker allows SULAIR to offer an exciting new research tool to its users; and allows SULAIR staff to have a hand in developing and shaping Grokker based on our understanding of the needs of scholars at Stanford.

SULAIR and Groxis will continue to collaborate to improve the Stanford Grokker. We are currently working to increase the number of SULAIR’s licensed resources available through Grokker. Improvements and additions to the user interface are also being made, based on feedback from the Stanford community.

Season 1 of Monk was shot in Toronto, while Seasons 2-4 were shot in Los Angeles. There are also occasional but very infrequent location shoots, including in San Francisco, where the series is set.

The second book is a role-playing book where the reader can choose the actions of the main character.

According to Lynn Abbey's official homepage, the series has been revived by TOR Books, with reprints of the previous novels, a new full-length novel by Ms. Abbey and then new anthology volumes. Sanctuary, the new full-length novel was published in June of 2002, and new anthologies are following. According to an interview with Ms. Abbey, RLA was offered the chance to write a story for this "new generation", but he declined.
