If you are having trouble using or connecting to parts of our site (such as the secure server for the payment forms) we suggest upgrading to the latest version of Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. Any compliant HTTP/1.0 or HTTP/1.1 client that can speak to an HTTP proxy should be fine. This includes every browser known to me.

Most Of Them Do: Most of the browsers commonly used on the Internet will display Truehome properly, though variations in appearance may occur. Older versions that are no longer supported, like Internet Explorer for Mac computers, may cause errors to occur, but such issues are rare. If you do have problems or concerns with your Truehome experience, please contact us at customer support.

The most current version of Firefox or Internet Explorer is highly recommended for both instructor and student users. K-State Online has been tested with Firefox 0.8 and above, Internet Explorer version 4.0 and above and with Netscape Navigator 4.7 and above. Netscape version 6.0 should not be used. Apple Mac users should use the most current version of Firefox or Safari. Internet Explorer for the Mac is not recommended. iPIX? Plug-ins and Viewers do not work with Internet Explorer 2.0 and lower for PC and Macintosh; Netscape 2.0 and lower for PC and Macintosh; and AOL on the Macintosh. Anyone using these browsers can either upgrade *their* browser, or can use the free, stand-alone viewer, available from the iPIX Web site. This Viewer gives users the ability to see Full 360? images locally, but not over the Internet.

Blackboard works best with Microsoft Internet Explorer v5.0 or higher and Netscape Navigator v4.7 or 7.0 or higher. Mac users should use the Safari web browser.

Postini supports Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator browsers, versions 4.0+ on the Mac, Windows 95 through XP and Unix (Solaris and Linux) platforms. Postini does not officially support Safari (the web browser which ships with OS X), Opera, or any other 3rd party browser. Using other browsers will probably work on approximately 98-99% of the Admin Console & Message Center functionality due to backwards-compatible design.
