A promo code is used for special promotional offers and/or discounts given to Brainbench members at the complete discretion of Brainbench.

Promo Ad Spots are listings of artists shown on various high traffic pages on the website. These spots can be purchased by any artists at almost any time. The way this works is pretty simple: Only 10 artists are shown in promo locations on each page view. What this means is that artists are rotated on each page view to give an equal number of views each. As an example, if all 50 spots are filled, every artist is shown on 1 out of each 5 page views.

The "For Promotional Use" tags and the P from the catalog number are gone, the red ink is a bit lighter. Other than that, it is identical to the "Promo Only" version released in 1996

From time to time PropertyValue will run promotional campaigns that may involve an additional special offer or discount. This will appear on promotional material as a 'Promo Code'. Please note that there are other PropertyValue discounts available to all purchasers on an ongoing basis (see above).

PROMO DAY is the first day of each month. A reminder will usually be posted a day or so before. On PROMO DAY subscribers may post messages offering their services or products for sale. Any subscriber can post a promo message once every three months, not every month.

Promo codes are codes that will increase a person's daily bandwidth quota temporarily for one day. At the moment the bandwith is unlimited for everyone so promo codes aren't used.

We Calculated that the amortized cost of having a URL'plate on a car over three years is about 3.6 cents per day. If the vehicle is driven in daily rush hour traffic the plate may be seen hundreds, if not thousands of times every day at a fraction of a penny per impression.
