The Omron Instant Ear Thermometer will display this indicator after the On-Measure Button is pushed if the thermometer's own temperature is too cold or too hot to operate. The operating range is 50 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Put the thermometer in a room within the operating range. Wait 30 minutes and take the measurement again.

The most common error symbol that appears on the display panel is a EE with a down arrow and two numerals. The reason for the EE Error Indicator is generally caused because the cuff has been wrapped too loose. The cuff was under-inflated during the measurement. The Display Resolution Indicator, turned on or off in the Window Preferences, shows at the bottom of the viewer window the resolution of the currently loaded panorama. ORANGE OVERHEAT LIGHT..........Illuminates if PULSE POWERTM determines that internal temperature exceeds a safe level and terminates charging cycle. Battery may be charged and can be immediately used. If left on the charger, charger will transfer to maintenance mode when safely cooled.

RED DEFECTIVE LIGHT..........Illuminates if your battery is defective by PULSE POWERTM's patented microprocessor. PULSE POWERTM may be able to recover a defective battery. Retry 4 or 5 times by removing and replacing battery. Should Red Defective Light continue to light, battery can no longer be charged and should be disposed of properly. PLEASE REMEMBER....NEVER THROW YOUR OLD BATTERIES IN THE GARBAGE - RETURN BATTERIES TO WHERE YOU BOUGHT THEM.
