You may need to adjust the viewfinder's diopter to your vision. To the right of the viewfinder eyepiece cup is the diopter adjustment dial. While looking through the viewfinder, rotate the diopter adjustment dial until you can see the AF frame clearly in the center of the viewfinder.

When you start the PC and the FastScan screen appears, sometimes the screen appears to be blacked out, and the titlebar says that the FastScan program is "not responding". Just press the 'Print Screen' key & your entire screen will be saved as an image on the clipboard, then just paste the image into a PowerPoint slide and re-size. If you hold down the 'Alt' key while pressing 'Print Screen', you'll only capture the active dialog box. For advanced usage like getting selections of an image, I've purchased the shareware program HyperSnap DX and find that very helpful. Maybe because your monitor was set at a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels or a resolution less than 1024 x 768 pixels. Crabbel was programmed for a standard screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. The reason: more and more private individuals and firms, in particular (which are an important target group), use computers with this or an even higher resolution. The projection distance may be beyond the focus area capability of the model you own. Refer to the specifications in the User's Manual, and adjust the projection distance accordingly. The projector may not be perpendicular to the screen. Adjust the projector so that it sits at a right angle (90-degrees) to the screen.
