No. The courses required for Secondary Certification are highly specialized. At this time, Dalton State College does not have the required courses for secondary certification.

Yes. Many graduate schools provide application fee waivers for McNair Scholars and some actively recruit McNair Scholars and offer them graduate fellowships. Graduate schools know that McNair Scholars are motivated, have an understanding of the rigors and culture of graduate study, and have research and/or scholarship experience. Faculty mentors and McNair staff offer a wealth of information and advice about graduate programs and aid sources.

School personnel do not have the medical training necessary to tell parents to place their children on medication. We believe that it is inappropriate for individual professionals to offer advice outside their field of training, expertise, or licensing. While teachers and other school personnel play a critical role in identifying potential education problems, they are not qualified either to diagnose a medical condition or suggest specific treatments for addressing that medical condition.

Yes. Your application to the visiting student program will be evaluated based on your high school record. Please remember that as a visiting student you will not be working toward a degree at Johns Hopkins, although you may transfer the credits you earn to another institution.

The University Learning Center does not provide academic support outside the university community, but if you would like to hire a tutor on private contract, we can pass your information on to our tutors. The ULC does not get involved in negotiating the terms of private contracts. The Education Lab in the Watson School of Education does offer some tutoring of grade school children. The exam covers basic vocabulary, comprehension and math. It is recommended that the applicant consider doing extra work and drills at their current school or library. This exam should not cause the student excessive stress since the purpose is to measure the student's current level of comprehension and knowledge. No, in order to qualify for enrollment, NMMI cadets must never have been married or have any dependent children.

Our program does not only train you in working problems, it is also a very effective study-system and it manages your time. Every hour in our program is equivalent to 5 hours of self-study. The program organizes all your work for you. You dont have to worry about what to study, how to study, how much to study, how to sequence the topics and problems, everything is organized and programmed.

Yes! However, due to the special tutoring nature of the position that high school students occupy within the Math Corps, they must at least be proficient in 7th and 8th grade Mathematics. High school students will receive instruction and assistance in their Mathematics courses during the latter part of each program day.

A special needs student needs a minimum of sixteen credits in order to complete high school. Twenty-two and a half credits may be required for some graduation options. Please see our Special Services Program for more information.

Yes. We require a copy of your high school diploma or, its equivalent (GED), and /or four academic passes in GCE, CXC, BGCSE or HKCE exams. High school documents do not have to be translated, with the exception of Asian, Hebrew or Arabic.

Others include setting fires, obsessive thoughts or compulsive behaviors, troubled or disturbing thoughts, use of drugs or alcohol, withdrawal or social isolation, hurting or killing animals, dangerous or self-destructive behaviors, trouble paying attention and anxiety or frequent worries.

This is an exam that every California high school student must pass in order to graduate. You will begin taking it in 10th grade. You can keep taking it until you pass both the English and Math components.

Future Leaders Summit participants will be able to earn high school credits through the program's course of study. In order to receive credit, students are required to conduct pre-travel research, keep a detailed journal and submit a final paper. All required assignments must be submitted for grading within three weeks of the program's conclusion. For college credit, students must submit their work to the Eisenhower Center and to the Washington School of World Studies for high school credit.
