Open WinGate and under the System Tab double click on the Email Option. Under the Delivery Tab, select from the How to deliver pull down menu ''Use Gateway'' and enter in the 3rd party mail server you wish the mail to be sent to. You can also select ''Use Gateway for Undeliverable Mail'' and all mail that can not be sent directly would use the 3rd party mail server to send the mail.

Open WinGate and under the System Tab double click on the Email option. Under the Domains tab click the Add button at the bottom. In the pop up window enter in the domain name you want WinGate to use and then select the option you wish this domain to be associated with (This domain is hosted locally, This domain points to a local domain, or Relay for this domain)

SMTP authentication is required In order to prevent spamemrs from accessing the outgoing mail server and using your account to send spam. Run through the mail settings of the e-mail client you are using and make sure the Account Name is set to your username (all lowercase) and password is correct by deleting it and retyping it in

Leaf burning is allowed between the hours of 9 A.M. and 9 P.M. Burning leaves must be monitored at all times and must not be burning within twenty (20) feet of any building. Leaves cannot be burned in the streets or right of way of any street. Only LEAVES may be burned.

This will cause the service to connect via the server on the specified computer and port. Many ISPs have HTTP Proxies (usually using port 8080).

Setting up a secondary mail server in Post.Office is very similar to the way you would set up 'sendmail' to do the same thing. In sendmail, you would edit the relay-domains file to include the domains for whom you want act as as secondary mail server. These domains would not be included in the local-host-names. So, in Post.Office, what you want to do is to accept the mail to selected domains, but not to try to deliver it locally. You will essentially be relaying this mail.

If you are using a Windows Server with PHP and mySQL, you may have to do a modification to send emails.

If you need to send your mail via another SMTP server then you can use the gateway setting. This setting lets you choose which domains to send to a server so you can send one domain to one server and another domain to another server or you can send all domains to one server.

Be sure you are using the latest version of WinGate and verify that there is no traffic in GateKeeper for the amount of time the auto-disconnect is set to. If there is traffic then there is something that is making a request and keeping the connection alive. Stop the application from making a request and that should solve the problem. Also, be sure no requests are being made on the server. The server activity will be tracked, although not seen, through GateKeeper.

Recently, Shaw introduced Port 25 filtering to reduce the volume of unsolicited bulk email (SPAM). If you only use a third-party or private email service provider to receive email, this will not affect you, but if you use this provider to also send email, you will need to contact them to obtain an alternate port number and then change the port settings in your email program from Port 25 to the new alternate Port number. Email sent to your address is stored on a mail server until you retrieve it using email software (Outlook Express, Netscape Messenger, Eudora, etc.) or delete it using NetDexia WebMail.

Your email client software (e.g., Outlook Express) may have an option to "leave mail on server". If this option is selected inadvertently or otherwise, your mailbox (on the server) may fill up and cause you not to be able to receive email, even if you've already read your email.

When you fail to deliver an email via our smtp/outgoing server, you will get a return mail from the mail server. You can find the description inside that email about the failure of the delivery. Check your email account settings to make sure you have the correct email server name. The server name for both incoming and outgoing email should be shawmail. Some users — especially users with home network routers — may be unable to connect using "shawmail" as the server name. If you’re experiencing this problem, try using the full server name for your region, which is listed on the Server Names page.

Our SMTP server can handle a very large number (250) of outgoing e-mails per second, enabling all of our clients to have sufficient e-mail access. If you plan to send large amounts of email, you should use the Majordomo mailing list manager, (not available with all packages).
