In Hawaii real estate, CPR stands for "condominium property regime" and is most commonly heard when referring to a number, the "CPR number", which identifies one condominium property from another for tax and sales purposes. A single-family residence, for example, has a five number Tax Map Key (TMK) such as 3-7-3-10-10, which refers to a specific piece of land and everything on it.

CPR provides the victim with oxygen and assists in circulating oxygenated blood to vital organs. Without oxygenated blood a person may suffer permanent brain damage within just 4 minutes. More often than not, CPR alone does not reverse sudden cardiac arrest. However, CPR plays a very important role in keeping the victim alive until advanced life support techniques are applied by a trained professional.

Children ages 11-14 are allowed to attend the Successful Sitter/CPR class at the CHEC. Children must be 11 years old at the time of the class. CHEC does not make exceptions to this rule. Parents do not attend the course with their children. It is requested that participants bring a pad of paper, pen or pencil, a sweater or sweatshirt since room temperatures vary, and a bag lunch with a snack and drinks. We do not have vending machines at CHEC.

Isotonic solutions cause no swelling or contraction of the tissues with which they come in contact, and produce no discomfort when instilled in the eye, nasal tract, or other body tissues.

The tonicity of the solution is less than that of the cells. When this occurs, water enters into the blood cells causing them to swell and finally burst, with the liberation of hemoglobin, or water invasion of the body’s cells. If this invasion is beyond the body’s cells, then water intoxication results, with convulsions and edema.

The tonicity of the solution is greater than that of the cells, which can cause a variety of complications, such as, hyperglycemia, intracellular dehydration, loss of water and electrolytes, dehydration and coma.
