The Works of the Law is a book. It was the Miqsat Ma'ase ha Torah. In Greek, this was rendered "ergon nomou" and in English it is "Works of the Law." It was lost for 1900 years. The Dead Sea Scrolls contained a copy. That copy was translated by professors Qimron and Strugnell. A paper has been written on its significance for NT exegesis. Works of the law are not only works aimed at keeping the law of Moses but works aiming at keeping any kind of law (literally: ‘works of law’).
