What is the output when the input signal to the PLL is removed?

Pericom - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) - By Product Fam...
Some of Pericom's PLL's have the output oscillate for a short period of time (around 5ms) when the input signal is removed. But it will eventually settle down to a DC low or a DC high.

What is a "standard input" or a "standard output"?

Frequently Asked Questions about PhysioNet
These concepts are common to all text mode applications (see the previous question). A program's standard input is whatever it reads from the keyboard (i.e., whatever you type into its terminal emulator window once the program begins to run). A program's standard output is whatever it prints in its terminal emulator window.

What are input and output levels and impedances for signal sources, preamps, amps, etc?

Turntable FAQ - WikiFAQ - Answers to Frequently Asked Questi...
We have been unable to find any formal standard on this topic. However, there is an EIA Bulletin: EIA Consumer Products Engineering Bulletin No 6-A (CPEB6-A) 1974, titled "Preferred Voltage and Impedance Values for the Interconnection of Audio Products". The key word in the title is 'Preferred'. EIA CPEB6-A recommends 3mV at 47k ohms for magnetic phono cartridges, 250mV at less than 10k ohms for tape and preamp outputs, and 100k ohm minimum for tape, tuner, and amp aux inputs.

What is the required input clock jitter for a PLL based clock buffer?

Pericom - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) - By Product Fam...
The most ideal is to have as minimal input jitter as possible since the input jitter will contribute additional jitter to the output.

What pins can I use for powering devices, a high signal, or for boolean input & output?

March 2005 - Posts - #region Coad's Code
The TX & RX pins carry the standard serial signal, but the other pins can be used as high/low input/output pins. The output pins (4 DTR or 8 CTS), supply 5 to 15 volts (15v is proper RS-232 standard) when high and 0 to -15 volts when low. They only supply flea current so they're not meant to be used for powering any devices (like USB is designed for). However, they can be used as a reference voltage or for switching to one of the input pins for a high or low signal.

How do you mute the sidechain input signal?

Logic FAQ: Sidechains
Suppose you use an Audio Track or a Bus as the input to a sidechain of a certain effect or VSTi, but you don't want the sidechain signal itself to end up in your mix. Easy: just turn down the volume on the Track or Bus object. This will not affect the sidechain itself -- apparently the sidechain signal is routed to the effect before the channel strip's volume fader. Instead of turning the volume down, you can also set the channel strip's output popup to "No Output".

I cannot seem to get any signal on the 4-20mA output of the 9060. What do I do?

Teledyne Analytical Instruments | FAQ
Enter the "Set-up" mode and push the "Autocal" button. If a "DAC CAL Fail" alarm appears, than return the instrument for repair. If no alarm is present, than check the outputs with a digital multimeter, in mA mode. If the outputs are there, than the loop must be open circuit (maximum 1,000 ohm). If the probe or sensor is less than 650C (1200F), than the outputs are driven to 0 mA. Set-up step 91 allows you to deselect this feature.

Why can I not get a signal from the RF output of the box?

FAQ
The VTX-D800U provides the signal to your TV via the Scart output only. The RF output exists only to loop the aerial signal through the box. If your TV does not have a Scart socket you will only be able to use the VTX-D800U if you purchase a Scart to RF converter.

How do I set the FIFO as input or output?

Holtek Semiconductor - Keyboard/Joystick MCU Series FAQs
By the Tx bit of MISC bit; Tx bit=1 for output, and Tx bit=0 for Input. For detailed spec. please check Holtek data sheet.

Is UPS output isolated from its input?

Emerson Network Power India :: Knowledge Center
Ans. Yes, double wound isolation transformer of full load UPS rating is used at inverter output, which ensures complete isolation from input.

How can you mix both input and output measures?

HAPLR Index - FAQ
Some have criticized the HAPLR Index for including both input and output measures in the same index. They note that inputs like how much money is spent on materials or how many periodicals the library owns are different from outputs such as circulation per capita or turnover rate. Combining the two makes it possible to have a library with good inputs and poor outputs score moderately well.

How do I setup MIDI input and output?

FAQ
If you have an external MIDI instrument, make sure that your MIDI cables are plugged IN to OUT and OUT to IN. On the PC, go to the Options menu and select Midi Devices and choose the MIDI In and Out of your sound card/MIDI interface on both sides. Make sure you have speakers connected to your MIDI instrument. If you are playing back to the onboard synthesizer of your sound card, select that item on the output side of Options | MIDI Devices. Make sure you have speakers connected to your computer.

What are input/output ranges and what do they do?

NCIA Support
input/output range (I/O range) is a memory address allocated to a piece of hardware. The I/O range is used by applications to access data from and send data to the device. This is a software developers interface point for accessing the equipment on the machine. [As an example, you can check your device I/O ranges in the device manager, located in the system properties, under computer properties]

What are input tax and output tax?

Online VAT Registration. UK Value Added Tax Registration ser...
Input tax is VAT charged by suppliers to your business. Output tax is the VAT you charge to your customers. The amount owed to HMRC (HM Revenue and Customs) is the difference between your output tax and input tax. For example, goods are supplied by a wholesaler to the retailer who sells them to the consumer. If you are the retailer in this supply chain, then:

Why is there a PPI figure for Input and one for Output ?

The Revolutionary Service for Professional Traders and Amate...
The PPI figure stands for Producer Price Index. Statisticians/economists like to differentiate between input costs of raw materials at the factory gate and the price of the part-finished or finished goods at the exit gate to see whether it is the raw material costs that are increasing PPI output prices or whether it is just manufacturers increasing their margins to the companies/suppliers they sell their good to.

Is ADAT input/output necessary?

FAQ: Questiions about Soundcard and Audio Interface Drivers
Tweak: If you have an Alesis ADAT multitrack you'd be mad not to get a card with an ADAT interface. But ADAT interfaces are found on more than multitracks. Most digital mixers have ADAT i/o. This interface connection allows the transmission and reception of 8 channels of audio in real time. So if you know a digital mixer is in your future you are wise to get an interface with ADAT i/o. If you plan to use an analog mixer you do not need ADAT i/o.

How do you select the input signal for TrueRTA?

TrueRTA Real Time Analyzer FAQ Page
You have to use the Windows Record Mixer to select the input to TrueRTA. The signal selected for recording will be the signal that TrueRTA receives as its input. I am getting an OUT OF RANGE or NO SIGNAL INPUT message on my display. What do I do to fix it?

CTX Europe - Committed to Xcellence
Your display settings exceed the capabilities of the LCD monitor. You must reduce the settings. Reconnect the original monitor into the video card and reboot to Windows. Reduce the refresh rate to 60hz and reduce the resolution to 640x480 pixels. Shut down the computer properly. Reconnect the LCD monitor back into the video card and boot the computer. You should have a picture at this time. Make your adjustments once in Windows. Refer to your user's manual for resolution settings.

What input signal levels can the card accept?

SpectraPLUS - FAQ
Sound cards are equipped with line level inputs which present a high impedance (>10K Ohms) load. The nominal voltage level expected is 1 Vp-p however, software gain control allows you to work with a wide range of signal levels.
