Why is MythTV complaining "Client speaks protocol version 8 but we speak 15!"?
MediaMVP Media CenterThis is because MythTV itself only ever supports one protocol version at a time, while mvpmc tries to be compatible with all versions of MythTV. So mvpmc starts with protocol 8, and MythTV will tell it what protocol version it should be speaking, and mvpmc will then switch to the correct version.
