We are working on adding an option where members will be able to specify their time zone. For now, though, the entire site is set to Pacific time.

The default time zone is GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). The time zone can be changed within Preferences in the Profile section. The dropdown menu includes all time zones in '+' or '-'GMT format. After selecting the appropriate time zone, click the Submit button to save your changes. The use of cookies on 121SPORTS is optional.

You cannot change system time in a VPS because all VPSes on the hardware node have the same system time. However, it is possible to change the default system time zone inside a VPS, for example, by replacing /etc/localtime with the file from /usr/share/zoneinfo which contains a description of your time zone.

First, find the appropriate time zone in your virtual server's /usr/share/zoneinfo directory. To get there, Telnet to your virtual server and type the following from your home directory:

CybrHost sets the basic time of all of its' servers to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) which is the international time standard. It is the current term for what was commonly referred to as Greenwich Meridian Time (GMT). Zero (0) hours UTC is midnight in Greenwich England, which lies on the zero longitudinal meridian. Universal time is based on a 24 hour clock, therefore, afternoon hours such as 4 pm UTC are expressed as 16:00 UTC (sixteen hours, zero minutes).

We recommend that the first time you log in to PrairieWave webmail, you change the personal profile to reflect your personal preferences. Checking or un-checking these options will affect your mailbox settings. Signatures: Lets you setup your own signature such as your name or company's name. You can also include your favorite saying or links that interest you. Personal profile: Allows you to change the display name, reply address and the time setting on your outgoing e-mails.

Log in and go to the Profile section of My Account. Select your time zone from the list and click Save. Now, whenever you are logged in, the site will reflect your time zone.

Our main office in Crossville, Tennessee is located in the Central Standard Time (CST) zone. However, Crossville is located within ten miles of the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone line. Since we base our experiences out of parks all over Eastern Tennessee, we run the scheduling for each trip based on the local time of each group's base camp.
