Ans: If customers enter incorrect PIN code 3 times in succession, the SIM card will be blocked. In this situation, customer will need the PUK code to unblock the SIM card. To unblock please follow the following process: enter PUK 1 then press OK > PIN 1 & press OK > PIN 1 & OK. Please remember that PUK 1 is needed for unblocking PIN 1. If anyone enters wrong PUK code TEN times, his/her SIM card will be permanently blocked.

You will receive your PIN and PUK codes in your ACN welcome letter. If you have lost your PUK code, you can request it to be emailed to you via DeinACN Mobile. You will only receive an email reminder of your PUK code if you have entered a valid email address in DeinACN Mobile.

Some prepaid SIM cards have a security mechanism in place that requires the subscriber to enter in a PIN (personal identification number) code every time the GSM cell phone is turned on. When a PIN code has been assigned it is important not to forget this code. If you enter the PIN code incorrectly into the phone 3 times in a row then your GSM cell phone will display a Blocked message on its LCD. When this occurs you will then be required to unblock your phone using the PUK code.

Please remember your PIN-code (or let it be a combination of figures well-known to you that you should enter when switching your phone on for the first time). If you failed to enter your correct PIN code 3 times in succession, SIM-card will be blocked. You can unblock your telephone by PUK code only.

If you have lost your card-certificate, please call the network 5+ Service Center. After switching your telephone on, “Enter PIN-code” will be displayed. Enter any PIN-code. After you have entered incorrect PIN-code three times, telephone will ask your PUK-code.

If your PIN code number has been entered into your phone incorrectly more than 3 times, your SIM card will automatically be blocked. You will require the personal unblocking code (PUK number) to unblock your SIM card. Your personal PUK number is supplied in your SIM card connector pack. If you have misplaced the connector pack, please fax a signed request to Smartcom’s Customer Service on (011) 507 4650 and your relevant PUK number will be supplied to you.

The Personal Unblocking Key (PUK) is an eight-digit code that is required to unblock your phone when you have entered the incorrect PIN ten times. It is located on the back of the SIM cardholder. All phones have a different set of procedures for unblocking and you will need to consult the manual for your GSM mobile phone when this occurs. Should an incorrect PUK be entered ten times in a row, the SIM will be permanently disabled. You may need to purchase a new SIM if yours is disabled.

Since PIN and PUK codes belong to the actual SIM card, we are unable to provide any support and codes. Although your phone is unlocked, your service and/or subscription may not yet be activated yet. Or your phone may not support an appropriate band standard for the selected operator.

Note: If you unsuccessfully enter the PUK code ten times, the PIN will become permanently disabled and the SIM card will have to be replaced. If this occurs, please contact your service provider to obtain a new SIM card.

If you have entered your PIN code incorrectly 3 times you will need to contact your network provider to obtain a PUK code. Do not try to guess a PUK code. If you enter PUK code 10 times incorrectly you will block your SIM card completely and will have to buy a replacement SIM card from your network provider.
