Because of the chemicals that most people put in their spa baths we do not recommend that you use the Q2 Water Energy System in the spa. These chemicals are the same principle of foreign additives to the water, they are bad for the unit and bad for you. Another reason is that the current from the air jets could damage the unit. In addition, the fact that the water in spa baths is not changed after every bath does not make this a very good choice for treatment with the Q2 Water Energy System.

Yes you should shock the water after you've filled the spa and removed the hardness from the water, and before using PristineBlue, using a non-chlorine shock. PristinePower, supplied in the starter kit, is best. When using PristineBlue, you should also shock water fortnightly with PristinePower to destroy organic wastes, body fats and oils that the filter is unable to remove. This will help to keep the water crystal clear and ensure that you use less of the PristineBlue liquid.

Pitcher and faucet-mounted filters generally rely solely on activated carbon filtration. While activated carbon is very effective at removing a wide range of contaminants, the problem with this type of filters is that they contain a very small amount of activated carbon. Further, the time the water spends in contact with the carbon, particularly with faucet mounted units is too little to provide full absorption.

Water purifiers need very little Maintenance expect replacing the internal filters when indicated, you should also keeping the air filter clean monthly by vacuuming and washing alternately, and wiping down the unit from time to time.
